Our starting lineup wins 83% of the time.

When our starting lineup is Paul, Harden, Gordon, Tucker, and Capela...our record is 15-3. That's an 83% winning clip.

It's a damn shame that due to injuries, rest days, and starting James Ennis over EG at the beginning has cost us the #1 seed if you really break it down.

Here are the results of the 18 games...

    12/11 beat Portland by 7
    12/13 beat Lakers by 15
    12/15 beat Grizzlies by 8
    12/17 beat Jazz by 5
    12/19 beat Wizards by 18
12/20 loss at Miami by 2
2/21 loss to Lakers by 5
    2/27 beat Hornets by 5
    3/3 beat Celtics by 11
    3/5 beat Raptors by 12
    3/8 beat Philly by 16
    3/10 beat Mavs by 1
    3/11 beat Hornets by 12
3/13 loss to GSW by 2
    3/17 beat Minny by 15
    3/19 beat Hawks by 16
    3/22 beat Spurs by 6
    3/24 beat Pelicans by 23

Keep this lineup healthy and we are winning the whole damn thing.

Yes but how do you explain the Clutchfans argument that we need to insert both House and Faried into the starting lineup?

Dang... only outscored by a combined 9 points in those 3 losses. Not too shabby.

Faried, no idea. But House is GOAT.

    Starting 5 should be: H.O.U.S.E.
Harden 1st one off the bench, followed by CP.

For comparison, I thought I would check out our biggest competition...the Warriors.
When starting Curry, Klay, Snake, Donkey, and Cousins...their record is 13-2. That's an 87% winning clip.

So technically, I guess we would be the 2 seed if we both had our best lineups throughout the season.

It is going to be one hell of a playoff series. Our 83% lineup vs their 87% lineup. We are their only competition. Seriously.

Yeah, and that Miami loss was the 2nd game of a back2back.
The GSW loss was our 3rd game in 4 nights.

I'd still rather have Gordon off the bench. He's a proven commodity. Faried is the logical in his place. Then the bench PT-heavy guys are Gordon, Rivers, Shumpert, House.

We all know that MDA compresses the roster come playoff time and having 9 players would be a luxury compared to last year.

Its a toss up between EG & House ..EG opens the offense up, but House does too. The difference is House is bigger & can clean up defensive mistakes better. He's better for our switching defense. But when EG is hot we're unbeatable

It's a tricky choice. There is some redundancy in starting EG where he could be better used of the bench almost as the main weapon, but EG brings a tremendous experience of a 10-year veteran whereas House is essentially a NBA rookie. Still, with only a few games left and this close to the playoffs, MDA will not mess with what has been working.

CP got hurt during that Miami game too

And we didn’t have our “4th Star” during that GS game.

That miami loss was also due to a CP3 injury, I think he only played about 10 minutes that game. I remember we were up big before he got injured. Also the laker game we lost was stolen by our favorite referee Scott Foster.

Logically playing EG off the bench makes much more sense as you get a bigger starting lineup and instant scoring off the bench when harden is resting. The issue is that EG is inconsistent and appears to play better as a starter. So have to go with that and hope they keep rolling.

It's definitely tricky. I'd lean towards starting House, but after watching us DESTROY Boston in Boston, with EG looking like that, I really can't call it. It's a toss up. Against teams like GS or OKC, I'm going with House for defense & rebounding. Smaller, quicker teams like Denver I'd go with Gordon. Either way it's a good problem

Randomly analyzing some rockets stats. Did you guys know that collectively as unit, our guards(harden, cp3, Rivers, Gordon, green and shumpert) are shooting 41.6 percent from the field. One of the lowest in the league. Harden is the only one shooting decent at 44% percent which isn’t great but it’s respectable. It’s why it’s inpera that our bigs play an efficient game and shoot a great percentage in the paint and our forwards have to hit there open threes at a great clip.

Next season Houston has to find a great pure shooter. Like a korver type shooter
