i don't if you actually believe this who h is absurd or you think somehow people will actually think a simple change of strategy could have won the popular vote which is scary.

I will play along , why did he choose this particular strategy since it was the hardes t to accomplish?

True which is why McConnell feels the comfort he has to power grab as he wants to. But at least for 2021 there is a real case to be made for the Dems capturing the Senate for at least 2 years depending on if its a continuation of the wave from 2018. With the states up for the play, and the continuation of bad candidates like Roy Moore, at least for the short term, 2021 to 23 could be full control of Congress & the presidency by the Dems.

Remove the filibuster, and go to town with a ton of changes for two years. HR1 being a bill passed on day 1 to remove alot of the money & voting suppression that help Republicans out tremendously. It only takes two years if you know what to do & don't do what the Republicans did from 2017 to 2019.

But yes in theory the way the map is laid out for Republicans they should NEVER lose the Senate as long as they can keep immigration to rural states at a minimum.

All presidential campaigns are designed to win the electoral college. And, sure, if the criterion for winning the presidency changed to the popular vote, campaigns would change with it.
