The Rox will need a near perfect game to beat the Spurs. This means the guards (Mobes and SF in particular) will need to shoot well from outside and move the ball. Yao will need a big game and hopefully Cato and MoT will be effective on defense. Go Rox!

I dont know why this team causes us so much trouble.. I think Cato does a good job on working on Duncan (w/ Yao's help of course) ..

But we have problems scoring on this team too..

I hope JVg comes up with some new plays and strategies against teams doubling Yao hard down low.

Hopefully a breakout game for Yao and SF together.

    Yao 30 pts/ 20rebs/ 10 blks
    SF 22 pts/ 6 rebs/ 15 assists / 1 turnover.

I have a good feeling about this game and its on national TV.. Its time for Yao to wreck some havoc.

Go Yao! Go Rox! Go Super Duper Backup Bench Brigade!

    J

Don't forget a couple of weeks ago when Rockets were sputtering, they came up with big wins against Minnesoto and Indiana when nobody predicted either wins. I wouldn't be surprised if they have runaways against SA and LA to go 10 over .500.
Actually, Yao had a pretty good 22 point game against Chicago with some good assists. Against Atlanta, he shot 2 for 11, but if you notice on his misses, he was dominating and unstoppable with a full repetoire, it's just that they were'nt falling.
If he goes 9/11 tonight, SA is toasted.

I hate TNT. I don't get cable so there is no game for me tonight. I live too far from 610 so I can't even hear it.

That also means no All Star games for me to watch on Sunday.

    Jack Niess strikes again.

He has decided to WAIT until some engineer comes to fix the clock problem in Cleveland.

Till then, no Rockets game.. or maybe they'll start and we won't get to see it.

edit: Craig Sager fixed it... they'll wait for to start the game in Houston.

Game is set to start at 8:50.

But looking at the way this boston vs. cleveland game is going, its not gonna be done till 9.

Does anybody care if TNT switches coverage? Does anbody really care if Lebron jacks up another 18 shots? Or to see Paul Pierce do the same at the other end? Or to see ZYDRUNAS stumble his way thru the lane?

Get this mess off the TV.

you'd think they'd cut over to the Rocket game for the Houston locals but these are the same people who mistakenly tried to black out the opening game this year.

I don't think they have that technology over just the Houston/San Antonio feeds... or maybe they'll surpise me.

This will define the insane timing of 4th quarter NBA basketball... they have 5 minutes till the Rox tipoff, and only 1:43 left in this first game... and it will still take around 10 minutes.

edit: Boston just mailed it in... SWEET. Now, lets hope for a good game.

    GAME ON!!!

Dissapointing start. 1 TO & 1 24 second violation from Francis and the team. Mobley's forcing some bad shots as well. I like that he's agressive but wish he'd play more headstrong.
