[CBS Sports] How P.J. Tucker became ‘perfect for us’ as Rockets chase an NBA championship

This is probably the best article I've read about a Rocket in quite some time. Of course the one comparison is that one on Harden recently which was equally as well written. So I don't actually know how to rank this one but it's really well written and glows about what PJ actually does.

Here's a quote from MDmA on the concept of trading PJ:
"Who would you switch him for? And why? What he gives us is invaluable."

Even when he doesn’t score he’s still hustling and playing D. He’s a THICC Patrick Beverley

 

I miss the Tucker, M'bah aMoute combo off the bench. I honestly think we could be on par with GS if we had another elite defender like a healthy LMM to pair with PJ again.

 

This guy must have the best PR team in the world. He shouldn't even be starting. Listening to Doris Day drool over him almost made me sick. If we ever replaced him with a real starting power forward, the Rockets would see the difference almost immediately. For me, this a lesser version Chuck Hayes, and Chuck, for all the good he did, was a liability in our championship aspirations. And I think this is where Morey has indeed failed us, we have far too many bargain basement finds on this team. We have a roster full of other people's trash whether we like it or not. Harden and Paul make them look decent, I just hope they can carry them to a title in this super team era.
