Offseason We will probably try to offer him the best we could and he will still get poach away. It's sucks but like James Harden's prime, enjoy House as a Rocket while it last
Hence what all of us were wasting our time about on here...he has skill AND fits the team amazingly well. Morey despite being one of the best in the business needs to improve his eye for talent. Lucky for us he's willing to clean up his mistakes quick...maybe he can convince Furcheeptah to retain the messiah.
Morey found him - the reason we did not pay him or offer him more is that they wanted to get under the Lux tax line, they always knew they would bring him back before the year ended and convert him. Morey did what the org wanted and kept the costs down, and House did what he wanted by declining the low offer and betting on himself. If both parties want him to stay in Houston it will happen, unless someone comes with a crazy contract offer and he has to take it. Just enjoy the ride. DD
Playing better now than when we sent him down to D-league after his NBA 45-days of 2-way contract. Pleasant sign that House may work even harder this summer and improve even further. Go House!! Go Rockets!!
appreciate it bro, been waiting all night for this. Gonna watch this on repeat while I eat my first meal of the day
The Reason think House is not starting and probably doesn't need to start is the bench needs a spike. To dominate in the playoffs you will need 25 to 30 points off the bench House can get 15 to 20 So rox are good
I was basically called a fool by @HP3 for suggesting this a few days ago. No hard feelings though. Just very LOL worthy.
It’s gonna hurt seeing this dude playing elsewhere next year if we can’t hold onto him, which may be likely at this point. Young, athletic, talented player who is a perfect fit for what we ask him to do at a position of need.
Dude, we were 9-1 before he came back. I have never called you a fool or implied it either. Yea he's playing well but keep in mind, we've been playing weak teams since he got back(not saying he wont contribute well against strong ones though) but just some food for thought. Also even when House was here we still lost to some bad teams as well. So lets chill with this stff. It's not foolish to think a dude who had been cut by 3 teams, who had been posting worse stats in the G-league would not be an immediate impact player when he got into the rotation, just because the dude had a good 10 game sample size in the NBA. People just like him because it makes them feel like they know more than they do. All this said, I hope he does even better than he is now and helps us big in the PO. But hey if he doesnt, Im not gonna kill him like a lot of these fair weather fans will.
We were 9-1 WITH everyone playing BIG minutes.... really 9-2 (Lakers and Warrior both L's). Tucker was fresh and so clean coming out of All-Star break. Let's keep it fresh. House will help.
Don't worry. Tilman will spend into the luxury tax the next 3 seasons. He just didnt want to do it the year Harden put 30 on every team in the league. Right!? Isnt that the company line? Cheap ass mf'r better do what he says he's going to do or shut up about it.
Yea another body will help there, but its def not gonna limit Harden or CP's minutes much, probably Tucker which is great. But look, our schedule was significantly harder before he came in so are guys were gonna be playing a high number of minutes there no matter what. But yea I def agree House will help, as for adding a significant amount of wins, I will remain skeptical.
For what it's worth, speaking as one of the, "Just pay him already Fertitta," contingent, a whole of those House highlights tonight came when he was Wide F$&%=ing Open, just sitting there at the 3 pt line. Doubt any good teams in the weeks to come are going to give House the same courtesy that a lot of the Hawks did. Then again, there were a ton of wide open threes on both sides tonight. Guess that's the new NBA for you.
