I'm just curious, do you think guys that Steve is safe from being traded til the deadline? Remember, we're on a winning streak against crappy teams and we're not doing good against the REAL Western teams

Id wager that Francis is safe until the end of the season.

forget the trade deadline...it is in 10 days, and I would do a sig bet that after the deadline....Francis will still be a Rocket..

    Yeah, definitely.

He's too much of a talent to give up on. Not to mention, we're eight games over .500 with him having a subpar season by his standards. There's no reason to believe that his game won't improve in the second half of the season has he becomes more adjusted to his dramatcally changed role in JVG's dramatically changed team plan.

Man, I hope his shooting % increases. though, I am not optimistic about the turnovers dropping.

At least get his average shooting for his career and lower the turns, not just individually, but as a team. Same goes for Yao. This would be a tremendous boost and would easily translate to -5+ extra wins this year.

If he gets his career averages, drops one or two turns and Yao can quit turning the ball over....this team would make it strong in the 1st round and edge the second

I think he will be back to himself after the All Star break. He is most likely safe from this years trade deadline but who knows what will happen after the season ends. Marbary got traded several times and he is a better player than the Franchise.

Unless he asks for a trade, I strongly believe he'll be a Rocket for years to come.

The same can not be said for JVG.

Probably safe, though the trade exemtpion makes a deal feasible.

I bet it is over 50/50 SF is not a Rocket by the start of next offseason though.

Safe? Stevie may feel it is unsafe that he will still be a JVG Rock 2/20. But will he be here? Unless the Rox want to trade 25 mil of contracts,, or so, to get something done.

What, Indy and Rox would swap
SF, Cat, KC for JT, AH, JF, SP, and AC ... and still expect to play in June?

FWIW - that team is not playing in June.

Steve will probably outlast Van Gundy.....

For those who want that Steve trade to go down at seasons end, don't count on it. Unless there is a TOTAL breakdown.

I am merely suggesting Indy, itself, is expecting to be playing in June. Only the Drex Rox could shake up things so completely and win in June.

Sorry, I didn't realize you were talking Pacers playing in June.
From Indy's perspective, I think that they would be playing in June. They trade basically bench (depth) for an all-star and his woman. I think Indy + SF + CM - depth traded to get them = finals apperance (and they go as a lamb to the slaughter).

I don't think anyone outside of Yao is safe.

They will make a trade if they feel it upgrades the TEAM.

I'd be very surprised if Steve Francis was traded before the deadline. I will not be surprised if he's traded in the offseason or early next season though.
