He got filthy rich because of Yao Ming , he only invested what 85 million to get the Rockets.
All the Chinese investment firms and deals and then all the corporate deals he got with oil companies and such.
lower bowl problem? Les didn't give a damn, he got china and ZTE investments .

Tilman, a local guy, had to pony up 2 billion to get the Rockets .
His company sells food to locals

Les took the championship trophies to Florida

I really wish he got busted with Robert Kraft in the Florida day spa

I will never forgive him for screwing up the logo and uniforms and they way he treated Rudy T and was so cheap not to overpay Dream for 1 last season

He obviously treated Yao better than Dream

    and we know why

Let's turn the NBA into 'American Idol' and let text messages decide everything after Simon Cowell filters out all the bad decisions.

lol exactly why Les took the trophies and ran away.

He knew what was coming once we traded for CP.

I really don’t understand the Tillman hate.

I’m trying to figure out what some of you guys think Ryan Anderson or knights contract would have gotten us this year in trade had we been willing to go over the cap?

Those are terrible high priced assets with negative value and Morey turned them into less money and shumpart? Clearly for all the hate he gets is a more resourceful player than Anderson and knight.

    This is our roster

    Harden
    Cp3
    Capela
    Gordon
    Tucker
    Rivers
    Shumpart
    House
    Green
    Nene
    Faried
    Clark

Would ppl feel better if the teams payroll was 25m above the cap? Some of you guys are really trippin.

Our team is deep as ****, why does it matter that we’re under the luxury tax? I don’t know if some of you know this but being over the luxury tax is bad.

Do you know how many owners would kill to be in tilmans shoes right now?

Own a major market team worth over 2b? Check

Have the league MVP locked up for multiple years? Check

Have a second HOF player with said mvp locked up for years? Check

Have a young center locked up for years putting up 17/12/2? Check

Have a team with great role player and depth? Check

The only team with a legit chance at a title besides GS? Check

Ohh and be under the luxury Tax? Check

Every damn owner in the league expect the warriors guys and even they prob envy it a little bit.

The Tillman hate is sad you guys need to get a life.

Tilman is making money and running a successful basketball franchise. The guys at every freaking home game how can anyone say he’s not invested?

I totally see where your heart is here, but teams that spend like crazy already have a built in market like the Knicks or they win a championship. We haven't won yet.

This league is still a business and as much as that sucks, it is what it is. We cheer as much for Tilman making money as we do our team's success. Unfortunately these days with team values what they are, businesses can't afford to lose that money. This ain't 85 million dollar mid 90's Les' teams. This is big boy money now. The NBA has gone through inflation and now there's less room to act like a baller owner and over spend. Over spending in one year can cost you more that what Les paid for the team 27 years ago.

Legitimately.. OKC had to cut ties with Melo or pay 100 million in luxury tax. Mr 85 million dollar Les cannot talk at that table.

Interesting, I wonder what the other debts were. He paid $150M to is ex wife in his 2003 divorce, I would think he had more assets than liabilities excluding the Rockets.Maybe Les was the one in financial trouble and rich Tilman saved him from being homeless ;)
