I could see that if MAGA is considered an extreme view, which I do.

 

So why not say you aren't sure what to make of it? Then you can add you are seeking information and wonder whether other people have supporting or different information.

That is if you are actually being honest. I do find it interesting that you care enough about a topic to read the article and post it but you don't have a leaning one way or the other. It is especially interesting if you are doing this repeatedly. It is also curious if a large majority of the articles come from sources that favor one side over the other.

 

I don't agree with a lot of what NewRoxFan posts in the way of articles or other media, but I'm glad he does it so I have access to something I might have otherwise missed.

I also think Os posts a ton of interesting stuff. Glad to have it here too.

I can't tell if posters are really venting because they don't like the content of what Os posts (which really helps provide some balance to a lot of other posts) or are somehow upset that he doesn't state his position on every issue. I don't get the latter -- he doesn't owe everyone his position on issues. Is that how you will decide whether he is a worthy poster or not? And, some of these issues aren't as black and white to all of us as they are to some. So, it seems pretty productive to post other views so everyone (if they choose) can have access to more than one frame of reference and maybe gain some insight on how other people who think differently view things.

Why not everyone give each other a break and enjoy the ability to discuss/read things?

 

He clearly has an agenda to show that the either the Democrats are in disarray or that the far left is taking over the party.

He usually post views from right leaning journalist who have a clear agenda about what is wrong with the Democratic party.

He offers little discussion of he wanted to discuss anything he would answer questions on why he chooses these articles and these authors.

I like to read different things and get other people's opinions which is why I read most of the stuff he post but it has become increasingly evident it's not about different views it's propaganda.

I respect your opinion but I don't agree that this poster offers a lot a balance most of what he post are opinion pieces that are clearly biased to the right.

That's all well and good just stop acting like it's from moderate voices.

 

So why don't you debate or discuss anything?

Why do you post about the same topics with the same point of view?

I respect your posts as well. But, seriously we have a fair amount of pretty far left posters (at least on certain issues), we have some very persuasive (sorry my viewpoint is seeping in) moderate left posters, and then a few good rep's for the more conservative crowd and then some outliers who appear to push the balance in the other direction.

I enjoy reading well written articles./posts that I may or may not agree with. Believe it or not (except for my obvious bias against a huge tax increase -- but a willingness to pay more if it is well spent), I come in to some of these discussion pretty sure that I know what the right answer is. I then read the intelligent posts and sometimes I maintain my position and others times I am convinced that I was not looking at the full picture.

This is probably pretty naive, but I have come to respect posters that I disagree with, and on more than one occasion I realize that their arguments are persuasive. It has helped me open up my mind and not simply rely on things I thought 25 years ago.

So, long way of saying, good for NewRoxFan and good for Os Trig. One or both may irritate those who don't want to hear the other side, but isn't that the purpose of this site?

You have a very healthy view of things and one I try to have the same but sometimes agenda driven posters need to called out on both sides.

What really bothers me about O's is him trying to claim he does not agree with the same views he constantly post about the same subject, at least man up and admit your views.
