I was wondering, does anyone set designated keyboard shortcuts for certain website favorites and programs (ie. CTRL + ALT + W = Microsoft Word.....). My problem is sometimes when I try them, they just do not respond. Other times they do. Are there certain keys that I might have hit to DEACTIVATE the keyboard shortcut mode for programs? Anyone know? Thanks!
Screw the designated keyboard shortcut keys and just use the common ones. I.e. - The windows button - you can easily use this to open any program you want quite quickly. What I do is push it to get the start bar to come up, then either push 'p' to get to my programs or, if it is a frequently used program, it will be there already and you can just use a letter key to get there. Windows button +e = pulls up your windows explorer to navigate Windows button +m = minimizes all of your windows Alt + Tab = switch between open programs There are more, and there are good program specific ones, but I've found that every keyboard I've had that have had programable keys has been relatively ineffective.

Try press down the Windows button and 'F' together for 8 seconds. (Save whatever you are working on first)
I hate programs that use the well-known keyboard shortcuts for something else. For example, Ctrl+S is "save" in just about every program I have except for Movie Magic Screenwriter 2000. F8 (I think) is save in that program. Ctrl+S does something else (though I don't remember what now).
