I had fond memories of the series, and I started rewatching this. It doesn't seem nearly as good the second time round. Did it get a lot better after the first season or have my tastes just changed since I was a kid?

It's funny. I was watching some old episodes the other day and David Schwimmer was the daughters boyfriend and Old Dog from Menace to Society was one of the kids in Arnold's gym class.

Actually, I think the episodes were much better this time around. I think this might be b/c I'm 26 now and reflect back on my life too from those years. When the show first came on, I didn't really relate to Kevin's experience, but in retrospect, its easy to draw parallels.

It's not Winnie, although I'd pay a dollar to see that. I guess she went to college to get a Math degree, but I she has been on West Wing recently.

Holly Sampson is the actress' name. She apparently played a character named "Teri" on two episodes of The Wonder Years.

That was one of the greatest shows ever. Winnie, once she grew up, became a major-league hottie. I loved the whole growing up in the suburbs theme. His dad was a lot like my father.

They need to put them all on DVD. How can you not like that show growing up?

Amen, dude. I loved that show. Winnie never appealed to me, but Soleil Moon Frye's guest appearance opened up a whole new world to me!

The dad was *just* like my dad. In fact, when I was growing up, I swore ABC stole the idea for the dad from my family.

It's on ABC family, hasn't been released yet on DVD. I imagine the rights to the music is going to cost an arm and a leg. Supposedly this holds up a lot of stuff - music gets changed in some series to enable the quicker release of the DVDs. The music rules.

I liked the show at first, but it grew a bit cliched over the years. About 23 minutes into each show, the grown-up Kevin would say, "And I knew what I had to do." Then you would see the young Kevin making some sort of mature decision or trying to find a way out of his problems. I mean, every episode. Also, is it realistic for someone to be hung up on the same girl for 5 years?

I wished he would get over her. (maybe it's my jealousy of those "little miss perfect" types that seem to be the only female characters in these shows, except for maybe the bad girls or the ones that only appear for one episode) I'm glad he didn't end up with her. How many of us end up with the person we had a crush on when we were 13?
