Great game by Steve while Yao sucked it up. If Steve always gave the Rox 50%shooting and a 4:1 Assists/Turnover, I'd never say anything about him...unfortunately games like this are anomilies for him these days. Its good to get a win, let hope some of this momentum carries over to the San Antonio game, they're going to need it.
Probably want to save something good for two Championship teams? Bottom line... as sjackson0 hoped, they are doing the right thing now... "...Win games, be men and drink some shut up juice. "
You wouldn't say anything bad about him? If Steve put up those numbers every night he would be the best player in basketball and maybe the greatest player of all time. Every player has bad games and bad stretches, even the good ones...
WOW, so you think Antonio Daniels is the greatest player of all time!!! Just kidding. These stats are more common than you think, I'm sure tons of guys in the 80's and 90 s use to have stats of 50%fg and good assist/TO ratios, look around a little. Steve could do it if he ever learned how to play under control and not try to hot dog when he gets bored.
huh? No, im just suggesting that he maybe getting out of his slump. Trust me, i think steve is having a horrible year and shouldnt mae the all-star team.
Yup. Hopefully the two win in a row excited their ardour and kick two Champion teams ass. Go Rockets,Go!
I thought it was three. Steve drops 27. W JJ hits last second shot. W Yao benched to provoke a run to the finish. W Giving credit where credit is due. Priceless
I was really feeling bad in the 3rd quarter and the Hawks were looking like they were going to win easily but Steve and Cat showed a lot of heart. JJ kept up his great work but I didn't think we would win earlier in the game. This was an important win because the guys showed that they can come back when the going gets tough which should help us in future games. Yao's weak performance is a great cause of concern though. We need him to score in order to make it to the playoffs. He needs to be more aggressive and try to get to the free throw line when his shots aren't falling. I hope he won't get down on himself and become more consistent. Spoon deserves credit for his hard work and Mo at least did better than in the last game.
What? You mean that you never caught on to the corrolation between the username and how I kept saying "Spoooonn!" Geez...am I the only Tick fan around here? oh btw..Ill gladly quit doing that..it ties me to the fraking keyboard all night.
hehe....well. I never watched many Tick programs. I saw maybe one or two in my life. Yep, guess I gotta admit to it. I am thick headed....didn't see any corrolation with that....I never thought of it.
a) technically it's not 20+, but is averaging 19.9 pts while shooting 45% close enough? b) if francis could just shoot a normal 44% (which he was pretty much at before this year), even 43%, and have an ast/to ratio around 2.1 or 2.2, he'd be everything we need. maybe the shooting is finally starting to come back. c) would you spontaneously combust if you complimented steve? i see only mobley dominated the fourth.
Shockingly I didn't consider Francis getting 1 FG and 3 assists to be a dominant performance. I know Fancy is your favorite player, and he didn't play poorly tonight, but to say he dominated in the fourth quarter would be stretching it a bit.
Chron Article says Hawks game was a sellout.. There is no possible way that this game was soldout....not that many people would just throw their tickets away.. ----------------------------- With that, the Rockets played seven minutes of defense that sucked the life from the Hawks. For six minutes after taking their largest lead, the Hawks hit the rim just twice. And when the Houston offense began to click, the Rockets rolled to an 86-77 comeback victory before a stunned Philips Arena sellout of 19,445. -----------------------------
