man, cuttino led the team with 3 blocks and steve was second with 2. how many times does the starting backcourt for a team get 5 blocks?

Lucky back-to-back wins with heart beat endings...

JJ and Cat are the saviors. But I wonder why we play so tough with two lottery teams? We should have had two blowout game.

I'm not surprised a bit what Cat has done. Come on! Where's the Cat hater now?!

How come nobody gives love to SPOON. I thought he played pretty well. Hit a big one to let Rockect lead. Rebounds, defends well, JVG kind of guy. He's been doing really well under the system.

I don't expect us to be a top 5 seed or better but I'm feeling optimistic. It'd be great if Dallas lost tonight to Detroit, and if the Suns beat the Jazz to give us some more security in a playoff spot.

Yeah, Spoon is giving us some valuable minutes off the bench. He knows his limitations and plays well within them. His aggressive rebounding and outlet passes really helped us to pull this game out. That Moochie trade is really looking genius now.

even though spoon sometimes seems slower than even mark, i gotta say he's playing better than i thought he would. i still feel like jvg goes to him too much at the expense of taylor or cato (and even padgett who was doing well) but he seems to be better at getting rebounds than i thought he would be (esp for someone stuck to the ground) and every once in a while he hits a jump shot. not bad to get for the worst player in the nba.

How optimisticly pessimistic of you :p

I really didn't like Spoon at first, but from the past 2 or so games, I'm impressed. I hope to see Padgett who's been playing well, Boki and Pike get more in the action.

Another evidence showing Yao and Steve/Cat aren't right for each other. It is virtually impossible for both our guards and big man to have a good game.

and on top of that no one has a chance at blaming the guards for it either. that helps keep the post count down.

oh, and we won, which means less complaining, and people don't really like to say nice things about the team.

This is a good win but you have to consider what kind of team the Hawks is, bottom fish? Francis and Mobley combo can lead this team to nowhere but a barely over 0.5 team, watch out buddies, whenever Mobley feels good, you could smell 1/15 shooting coming, and he will keep shooting the ball until the team is down. Same to Franscis, bottom line is those two guys can lead the team win some games, but don't expect too much over 0.5 and a playoff.

It is not a good time to say this, but some of you guys must take a cool shower right now.

    Me too!;)

Coach Jeff Van Gundy sat Yao early in the final quarter and went with a smaller lineup. That's a wise tactic when Yao didn't have a good game. Without a 7'5 big man on the court,we were running the floor well which made the Hawks defense fall apart. :D

we all know. Francis isnt jordon. Hes like the only backcourt player to do it all by himself and win championships. He still needed pippen. Thats why we got yao to be the second star of the team. That doesnt mean steve has to go to a roleplaying mentality. He still can be the leading scorer, and leader, but yao can be the co-star with steve. Obviously it doesnt look like steve is playing like that superstar he was the past four seasons. Though he picked it up the past few games. It seems to me all the crtisizm that steve gets is unfair. No one looks at what he was capable of doing or still is. HE can get 45% fg pct and avg 20+ pts. Yet people want him to be trade bait for Kirk Hinrick, or or some ridiculous proposel along those lines. How can people think steve is at the down part of the hill if he is only 27?
