Via Bleacher Report: https://bleacherreport.com/articles...om&utm_campaign=editorial&utm_medium=referral I suddenly hate Jeff Hornacek a bit less...
I could never hate Hornacek for some reason. I don't feel like the cheap plays generally stemmed from him. I usually attribute that to Karl and Stockton. Plus he played half his career outside of Utah. It's kind of like hating Gordon Hayward... why? Just cause he played for the Jazz? Hate the team, not the player unless the player is Stockton, Malone, Boozer, Okur or Kirilenko. Then hate both. Juck the Fazz.
Hornacek lifetime story coming soon. Rubbing himself at the free throw line for his kids. One thing that Hornacek was known for was stroking the side of his face several times before each and every free throw he attempted. Most basketball players have a routine they go through before attempting a free throw, but not many were so obvious as Hornacek’s face-stroking routine–especially considering that it required him to wipe the sweat off his hand before taking the free throw. And the reason behind his routine? It was a secret way of him waving and saying “hi” to his kids.
