Bogut's just depth. Of course he doesn't move the needle in any huge way. The Warriors don't need any more "needle movers." They need depth, guys who can come in and give them certain things for a few minutes here and there for what little rest their main guys will need in the playoffs (in the playoffs, Curry/Durant/Thompson/Green will likely all average close to 40 MPG, especially beyond the first round, and Iguodala will likely be at 30+). Bogut gives them passing, hard screens, rebounding and rim protection. He won't be as useful against us, but let's be real--the Warriors aren't building for us. Last year, we threw a scare into them, but we're not their greatest threat this season. Against the top Eastern teams, Bogut can provide some solid hard-nosed defensive minutes against Embiid, Horford/Baynes and Gasol. He'll be less useful if they meet Milwaukee in the Finals, since Lopez will float out to the three-point line.
not what I meant, he doesn't play well against more physical players. Gobert falls in the same category as Capella in my opinion.
Who is physical big man in west today? Jokic or Adams is slow. Nurkic? ICapela and tucker are unable to push bogut and nurkic around on the block.
Bogut will be trying to get under the skin of PJ Tucker. If he gets hothead Tuckert to lose his head and get ejected, its a win for him. Also, do not underestimate Bogut's dirty play, push-offs, illegal screens, etc etc It can change the game and how teams play. His biggest asset isnt him as a basketball player, but the antics he brings. Playing against him and Draymond is frustrating.
He's a certified scumbag, not much else to say about him. Warriors get even more unlikable. Not sure how much he'll actually play though.
I am just happy the Warriors feel they got a position they need to fine tune this late in the season.
he's the final stone to the gauntlet. We have to keep him away from the Warriors, those illegal/moving/holding screens give their shooters easy open looks.
Wouldn't bringing back Bogut cause issues with Boogie? He's already at risk of losing serious playing time in the postseason to the death lineup. Now you add Bogut to the mix? What's Cousins gonna get? 20 minutes a night at most? He's gonna be p-ssed and cause them headaches in the locker room.
sounds good. the more ingredients they add, that can increase the volatility the better. in the end, they have no one to blame but themselves for these decisions
