Jazz usually cut it close in Game 5's,,,,,but this time it comes back to bite them

Is it fair to say that the Jazz choked, with Malone hurt.

In a word, Yes.

A 2-0 series lead, a 91-90 lead with seconds left in game 3. Malone did have something like 25 points in Game 5.

It's a choke also, because Dirk Nowitski had five fouls in the third quarter and the Jazz could not take advantage.

It's a choke also becuase the Jazz, who are usually a good rebounding team, let the Mavs have second chances many times in the fourth quarter.....offensive boards were big for the Mavs.....Booth played like an All- Star.
And a couple of Nash's three's came after offensive boards.

Didn't Finley's pass to Booth resemble, Air Jordan's pass to Bill Wennington that won that regular season game against the Knicks when MJ went off for 55. It was Wennington who received the pass and made the winning layup.

Finley, who's playing style most closely resmebles Jordan in my opinion, made Big shots like Jordan does...especially that one that beat the shotclock.

But seriously, I Know Rockets players have respect for the Jazz, especially former players like Barkley, Drexler and Dream.......
And I do to a certain extent........so I think Karl Malone not winning a ring is a shame for one reason......over 31,000 points and no ring to show for......sad. Same with Stock, alltime assists and steals leader, and no rings to show for for it.....sad.

But it was Malone who missed those two ft's in Game 1 of the 1997 NBA Finals that would have gave Utah a two point lead with seconds left. Could have turned the series around.

Malone also did a classy thing by coming on INside the NBA. That is hard to do.

All that said, The Jazz lost and I'm glad becuase their fans suck!
