Harden is playing with multiple injuries right now

Has anybody realized that Harden can get overweight, out of shape, his body type is like that, if he takes a week off even, it will take another month to get into playing shape. Cardio and playing basketball shape is different. His teammates need to pickup the scoring.

 

Harden doesn’t like to make excuses and regularly plays through pain so he knows his body better then you and me. He feels he can tolerate the pain

 

Rockets are now without Faried and Shump too. Injuries are a b****.

He's shooting like 8% from 3 since ASB. He needs to sit! I've been wanting him to sit for the longest time cause he doesn't look like Harden out there.

 

That. I torn my acl because of sprained ankle + bad hip. I know that Harden is built like a tank but he is playing very dangerous game rn and we need him healthy for several years, not half assin his 3point stepbacks against charlotte

 

Add jumpshot to the list of broken things

 

1) We won't miss the playoffs if Harden misses 2 games.
2) If Harden missing 2 games is the cause of us missing the playoffs, then we are not championship contenders. If we are not championship contenders and the owner is ducking the tax, then yes we can risk missing the playoffs in exchange for prolonging Harden's career. No one wants to miss the playoffs, but having a larger window is more important than struggling to make the playoffs one year.

Truth is this is not about missing the playoffs, I would bet a lot of money that MDA's job is dependent on being top 4 in the West and that's what's driving all this.

Think of it from another perspective. If you were paid to shorten Harden's prime, this is exactly the approach you would take.

i think its just that harden hate to rest and likes to play... i am built the same way i would rather play injured than rest...and i know my body well

 

Me too. That's why you need coaches and organizations. If one of us has a shorter basketball career, I think our friends can live with that. It's not the same situation for Harden.

I'm certain MDA's job depends on having home court. I think one of our insiders will confirm that in the future.
