I think we all suspected Faried had something left, but weren't ready to predict success. I was 50/50. We've seen a lot of guys (Melo, Lawson) not even come close to recapturing former glory. Faried has been the ideal fit. It's amazing what happens when Morey gets rotation quality forwards for this squad.

Not really a 'most improved player' story, but definitely a turnaround story.

I think Faried's presence has rejuvenated Nene a bit, strangely enough. He looks 35 again.

 

He can shoot 3 which can replace ryno. He can defense and grab rebounds. He rans very fast which can inject energy to the team. Tucker can move to 3. Sham is not good, he is minus 14 points when he is in the team.

 

Faried is a great example of why you keep swinging the bat at these low risk high reward moves.

I totally read this as: I believe I Farted !!!!!!!!

 

Morey figured nearly every former member of the Nuggets needed a look. Glad that it finally panned out with Faried. He has played beyond my wildest imagination.

 

What the hell. Faried was always Faried, and many posters here knew that from the moment he was signed. People are like "Wow who knew?" A lot of people knew.

 

Faried never became bad or any worse than he previously was though. His per minute production was the same as it always as, he was just playing a lot fewer minutes. He didn't get old, didn't have a serious injury and didn't have a substance abuse problem. His issue was that his teams were going in a different direction from him.

The only surprise is the 3PT shot, nothing else is novel or surprising unless one was not paying attention and thought he was being benched because he forgot how to play basketball or something. Everyone in the league knows he can hustle, score and rebound .

 

The Farweed schtick is played out.

Faried's 3pt shooting has been so helpful, however if you look at his FT shooting which hasn't improved, you'd be better served expecting his shooting to drop to the lower 30's. I think that's still fine if he's around 33% on 1-2 attempts, it still doesn't allowed people to sag and he is very capable of attacking the rim on aggressive close outs.

The problem with Faried is no mystery. I don't know why he thinks it's because people didn't believe in him. I don't know why people ignore it. He's a bad defender, you would find it difficult to find a worse defensive rotation PF. On defense he is essentially Ryan Anderson, except he mitigates let's say 25% of that horrendous defense by rebounding well and blocking some shots. That's still a bad defender, and I don't think we'll be able to withstand Harden and Faried being on the floor together long term, but I'm seriously hoping there's some miracle transformation there.

Improved defense would have transformed his career much more than an improved 3pt shot. But being able to contribute more on offense softens the blow. Who knows, maybe he learns. More realistically, we should be prepared to have him go up against lesser calibre players where he can be such an incredible bench player for us and we can stagger his and Clint's rebounding across 48 minutes.

 

It's been played out, and the poster insists on doing it. At first I thought he was trying to be funny but none of his takes are. They're just random and strange, and he sh*ts on Harden, Capela.. all the Rockets players, pretty much.

At this point I think he's just here trolling, which is nuts for an account made literally like 12 years ago. Well, whatever. I don't think he's doing anything we can report, so I guess we'll just have to put up with it.
