I honestly feel once Shumpert and Harden comes back and barring no injuries for the rest of the season, this team is NICE

It was a great win and I'm so proud of this team going into Golden State and beating the Warriors. Another reason why this is a big win is because realistically, the Rockets will most likely finish 4/5th seed and will have to face these guys in the second round. 3-0 so far!

 

So true. I guess he hasn't really been "himself" since we got him, because he hasn't impressed me. I expected more. A healthy Shump is a much more effective Shump. You would think so, anyway. He was someone I admit not paying a lot of attention to until he put on our uniform, but I'm hoping to be a happy camper when he returns. Sore knees make me nervous.

 

Harden the 1st 3 quarters cp3 in the 4th = Championship

 

That's how it was last year. We were playing our usual basketball and once we stuttered and the other teams were making a run that's when Chris always stepped up, hit couple of midrange, some absurd three and killed the momentum

James is great but this team will go as far as Chris can take them

 

I think CP3's confidence needed this. More than the win itself, we are going to see a few key benefits:

1) Harden seeing that picking certain phases of the game for a higher pace style can reduce the stress on him and make the role players more effective.
2) Paul getting out of that funk and waking up his alpha genes.
3) Bonus: Harden, through this scoring stretch, understanding just how much he can stretch himself when under extreme pressure against more aggressive defense/refereeing. In the past, we would have seen a mentally lazier Harden coming out during this time, but this signals personal growth imo.

An important symbolic win.

 

But according to some people from this forum we don't need Harden. I'm confused.

 

And it's not taking away from harden at all, Rockets need that 28-30 points. It's just that harden doesn't have as reliable a "go to" as cp3's midrange at the end of games.

 

I wish my fellow bretheren on Clutchfans could/would understand that we need BOTH Harden/ Paul to legitimately have a shot at the title!! It's absolutely ludicrous to think otherwise! CP3 was stating a fact when he said "We need you James"...

I think/hope that the posters who are implying that we can win the trophy with only one of them, are merely trying to play the contrarian!
