If he can bring some version of this on a nightly basis, that's the answer we've been looking for at rebounding better, and getting Tucker a breather. If he can hold down that backup 4 spot (maybe even starting), we are dangerous. Gordon always seems to start off with hot shooting, if he could bring that later in the game like he has since becoming a Rocket, that'd be amazing. Lock-In on Faried for next summer and sign D-House with whatever we can long-term to stay under the cap. I'm all about these guys, and that's without knowing where Shumpert plays.. Rivers is probably gone, but you can't keep everyone.

 

No.. he has to hit threes in order to create space for everyone else. Floor spacing is essential. We don’t run the type of system where they can sag off on our 4 like they do Draymond or even Simmons.

It sounds great until teams start sagging in the paint the moment you touch the ball. The sixers got killed by the celtics last year because the only way to prevent Ben Simmons being left alone at the three point line was to run a dribble hand-off to a shooter. That sounds great until you realize that dribble-hand-offs comprised of the entire offense whenever Simmons was on the floor, as Embiid/Simmons' lack of shooting made P&R nearly impossible, and fast-break opportunities dried up, meaning that the Celtics defended the motion perfectly every time they tired it.

To a lesser extent it happened to the Warriors with Draymond, but they simply reverted to KD ISOs with varied results.

This team cannot afford two non-shooters on the floor when we run nothing but P&R, its why the Warriors don't run it at all.

 

He goin get at least Tucker salary. Other fans base are mad that their gm didn’t find him when all he wanted was fair shot and playing time after the buyout
