We aren't talking about the same thing. I didn't say or suggest we won because James didn't play. I never suggested we don't need him or he isn't our best player. I was talking about the bad rep everyone gives all our other players, but even when they are shooting well James will take 2 or 3 times as many shots. He loves doing the ISO thing, and plays completely different than Chris. I said James will always get far few assists not just because they all miss, but because Chris gets them the ball much more and they get to take more shots. If you think that isn't true I simply don't care.

I’m sure CP3 has been trying not to aggravate his hamstring and tonight played at a playoff level. I think he will turn it on again in the playoffs. Just hope those hamstrings can hold up this year.

i just hope shumpert is able to make some 3's to keep the GS defense honest. because we all know pringles is going to lean heavily on this guy to chase curry/klay/snake around all their (moving) picks. but GS is already very familiar with shumpert and will be more than happy to double harden off of him all day long.

one great plus from last nite's game was that nene showed he can be effective against this team on both ends. so even if it's just for 5min a game it will be nice to be able to go to nene, especially when clint is tired or in foul trouble. i am so tired of watching us overmatched with way too much of the smallball lineups.

Completely agree. He has watched how LeBron turns it in post all star break and seems like he is following that approach

I've made several posts saying that Chris Paul has been lacking his voice.. It's his greatest asset. That voice of his shouldn't degrade with his athleticism and so that would make his contract into old age worth it. However, he hasn't been displaying it. He wasn't 'coordinating his guys'.. he wasn't 'riling the troops'.. he wasn't 'holding anyone accountable'.. basically he wasn't being the little general he has been known to be in the past.

I've listed off numerous theories as to why, him playing pathetic defense for a long period being my hypothesized culprit-- it's hard to be a voice when you have been playing as part of the problem.

I've stated time and time again that his IQ and voice to spread that IQ to others was worth 25 million of his 40 million dollar salary and so without it we had a 15 million dollar player on a 40 million dollar deal.

However, last night.. Last night we saw him direct, we saw him communicate: from telling guys like Green to cut to the basket because Paul saw a massive opening, to Paul ordering all players on the court to a quick group huddle mid-way through the 4th. That was Paul at his best. Thats where Paul is most impactful. That attribute secures wins. It's a pleasure to see. I hope communication like that from Paul continues when Harden gets back. I hope yesterday spelled the end to his communication drought, because if so we are going to be a team to reckon with again.

I presume so, he's still shooting around 48% from 10-22 feet this year, down from the insane 52% of last year. He's gotten better the further removed from injury, and shot 50% from midrange last night.

Nah it takes time for the two to mesh together, time they didn't have this season. Nearly 15-20 games in last season and I recall Harden sans Paul being a +13, Paul sans Harden a +15, and the two together a +2. But over time they figured it out and became the deadliest duo ever assembled IMO.

Lmao you do know james averages like 8 9 assists lmao. He averages the same as cp3 lol. So that narrative is false.

So u telling me harden wasnt getting tucker wide open shots that he was bricking lmao. N james of course will take more shots. He is good at it. Almost a mvp...oh yea.

Question did harden share the ball to u last year. U know when he had cp3 as well n made the wcf?

Cp3 played like an all-star for one game and suddenly everyone is ready to say he's worth his contract.

There is no doubt Cp3 still do this every now and then but doing it consistently for most of the season? doubt it.

Just pray he doesn't get hurt again in the playoffs.

something you obviously are rooting for. are you upset the "trash team" played well without harden. and against a full gs team. of course you are. negative aura's are your bread and butter.

he doesn't need to do this consistently in the regular season, if he can turn it on in the playoffs a couple of times we should be in a good position

I'm saying the dynamics are way different. I wasn't speaking specifics of any player. I have seen games where Tucker, Green, Rivers and Paul were shooting at higher percentages from behind the arc and James still took 16 3's at a much lower percentage. I've seen games where he still took twice as many 3's as them even when they were shooting over .500 from behind the arc. Those "scrubs" as many call them have had potential to score much higher number at times but James took over anyway.
