If the former, then yes. If the latter, then no.

I liked Matt Barnes since the day he started his Derek Fisher vendetta

 

If Scott Foster is ref, we should bench Harden. The team can still play well with him, but its been decades of this for Houston. It needs to stop.

 

First off, I don't think Harden an Paul were making excuses. They sounded like they were fed up with Foster. Would they have made the same comments had they won the game? I don't know. But that does not sound like making excuses at all.

You and several other posters keep making this false dichotomy. Yes, they were missing shots and probably lost because of that. But does that mean officiating was not an issue? Why do you have to choose one or the other? Why not both? What kind of logic is that?

 

I thought I was clear that I thought the Rockets poor performance in the second half was a bigger issue than the refs. Never denied that tough calls from the refs were a factor. I’m saying that I want the Rockets to be more resilient in those situations, because that’s what is necessary in the playoffs.

 

Not sure why you think they were not resilient just because they complained about ONE official AFTER a game. Did they quit or lose composure during the game? Did they get fouled out because they gave up? Your so-called concern about their resilience looks even more unfounded after last night's win.

 

Chris Paul and D’antoni both picked up T’s with the game not over in the final minute, and Chris picked up an unnecessary 6th foul again with the game not over.

So, yes, they did let their frustration about the refs deny them a chance of getting an important win.

And that they followed that poor performance with a great win doesn’t take away from the point that I was making. If they played against the Lakers like they played against the Warriors, they would have won that game with or without freakin’ Scott Foster.

 

Wait, they picked up the T's exactly because Foster was being Foster. That was the whole point of the complaint. You couldn't talk to him without getting a T.
