I voted for J. Jackson. He has been "solid" almost every game, very consistent. He seems intelligent, plays hard, seems to be in the right position, passes well, rebounds well. He is a very good role player and can rise to "I can carry the team if necessary" status on occasion. He can shoot the three. I really like this guy; I want him to stay.

Francis still makes this team go. w/o him, we wouldnt win 30 games, even this year.

Jimmy Jam #1 and Mo Tay is 2nd on my list. I still think Mo should start. Maybe he will start eventually.

    Yao's my favorite players overall..

But I had to vote for JJ he has been the glue this year.

JJ - consistent and level headed you know what your gonna get from him
Yao - has been inconsistent but he is the focus of the other teams defensive strategies. Which opens up the floor for everyone else. When he's on he is so much fun to watch.
SF - His FG% is down but he is working on getting his teammates involved. Just wish he would make better decisions on and off the court.
Cat - I love his effort and hard playjust tired of his boneheaded mistakes and I feel he is just too small.
MoT and Cato - both have improved.. Cato seems to be losing steam lately though.

    J

It's weird. Cat has supposedly made the most improvement under Jeff Van Gundy, yet he still has less votes than Steve. :D

Taylor has been rock solid. Not only does he have the most polished post game of any of our front court players (including Yao), but his rebounding has steadily improved over the course of the season...

I voted wrong, I now change my mind to JJ. I was going with somebody else until I realized that JJ's playing his ass off for vet minimum. And he's putting up numbers. You just can't beat that.

On another note, I see the Steve only fans are still around in number.

Better yet, where's Moochie? The Rockets played their best ball of the season after he was traded...

I'm going with Steve because through all the bull going on with him and you unapreciative fans he always seem to care about the people how got him here. In other words hes loyal to Rudy unlike the organization. Hes loyal to the fans even though they want him to stop being agressive which is why we loved him the first 3 years as a Rockets. He also was the 1st to mesh with Yao in the locker room. He wants to be the leader on this team but yall looneys don't know what a real leader is. He leads by his actions not by what everyone else thinks a leader is.

You can change your opinion back because JJ makes more than the minimum. He takes at least half the midlevel exception (which is still cheap for what he brings, imo).

Yeah you're right, I got confused on that. Nevertheless, JJ is getting paid 2.2 mil, which is only more than Boki (rook scale) and AG for players with more than this yr left on contract. Considering he's the 3rd most productive player on the team, the argument still holds.

In games where Yao takes 12 or fewer shots, the Rockets are 15-18. When he gets off 13 or more attempts, Rockets are 12-3

I’ve been pleased with the role players most: JJ, Taylor, Cato, and sometimes Cat. Van Gundy seems to be great at getting the most out of his role players, but not so great at getting the most out of his stars, Yao and Steve.

    Really?

    Like who?

I hope you aren't referring to IROC and myself.

We are Rockets fans first and foremost, we want what is best for the Rockets.

We also consider Francis our favorite player on the Rockets. How does that make us Francis only fans?

Me either... I'm sittin' at home wearin' my YAO 11 hat at the moment... An dby my posts you gotta know I'm no YOF.

    SOF?

    Please.

I'm just no JVG believer/fan yet. He is Don Chaney Part II in my opinion.

My favorite right now if I had to pick is SF, just because of his seniority... then JJ, then Cat, then Yao, then MoT, then MJ, then Cato... then Boki.. and who cares?

I proved my point, but I'm no SOF.

    DOF maybe. (Dream Only Fan);)

Absolutely JJ, mostly for his D, toughness, and a good dose of offense sometimes.
