    I'll hold out on Lebron simply because he's only 19 and he'll have a lot more chances...

    Where is Steve Nash? I haven't even heard his name in the "snub" category...top 10 in assists and assist/turnover ratio, #2 in FT%, and he's scoring 14 points per game...

    Bibby and Nash aren't even the biggest point guard snubs. Andre Miller is playing the second best ball as a PG in the Western Conference right now (behind Cassell). Don't believe it, compare it to Francis, Bibby, Payton and Nash (although I agree that Nash has a legitimate complaint too).

    * PPG:
    Bibby -- 17.1
    Francis -- 16.6
    Miller -- 16.2
    Payton -- 14.8
    Nash -- 14.0

    * RPG:
    Francis -- 5.6
    Miller -- 4.4
    Payton -- 3.7
    Bibby -- 3.3
    Nash -- 3.0

    * APG:
    Nash -- 8.0
    Miller -- 6.3
    Payton -- 6.1
    Francis -- 5.9
    Bibby -- 5.3

    * SPG:
    Miller -- 1.63
    Francis -- 1.43
    Payton -- 1.32
    Bibby -- 1.07
    Nash -- 0.89

    * FG%:
    Miller -- 47.3%
    Payton -- 47.2%
    Bibby -- 44.5%
    Nash -- 43.5%
    Francis -- 39.5%

    * FT%:
    Nash -- 90.8%
    Miller -- 85.5%
    Bibby -- 80.6%
    Francis -- 75.0%
    Payton -- 70.5%

    * 3PT%:
    Bibby -- 40.6%
    Nash -- 39.0%
    Payton -- 34.7%
    Francis -- 28.9%
    Miller -- 19.6%

    * Assist To Turnover Ratio:
    Payton -- 3.06:1
    Nash -- 3.0:1
    Bibby -- 2.70:1
    Miller -- 2.27:1
    Francis -- 1.59:1

    * Minutes Per Game:
    Francis -- 39.7
    Miller -- 34.6
    Payton -- 34.0
    Bibby -- 33.8
    Nash -- 33.3

    in the east- Lebron James and Lamar Odom
    in the west- Elton Brand, Zach Randolph and the arguement for Andre Miller won me over.

    As to who they should replace- that's hard to say. On the east I honestly think Lebron might well deserve it as much as Michael Redd but not necessarily more than. I do know most fans would rather see Lebron than Redd. As to Lamar Odom, I really can't knock out any of the forwards to put him in except I'd like to replace Vince Carter with Lamar Odom simply because I don't like VC.

    In the western conference, there is just no way you can say any of the forwards who are on the team don't deserve to be there. I just think Randolph and Brand deserve to be there too. I wish they had an IR on the All-Star team.

    Andre Miller or Camelo on the West (There must be someone from the Nuggest, right?) and Lebrom on the East (so much hype and actually doing pretty good. but no ASG appearance?)

    I say brand replaces Yao
    A. Miller replaces francis

    I like carmelo, but I think he is getting more credit than he derserves. Melo is good, but an allstar yet. I think the real difference maker is miller. Miller over francis, there shouldn't be an argument... miller is a much more solid pg than francis. And finally.. miller team is winning, so people can stop saying he is just a good number guy on a bad team.

    Brand over yao because of brand consistency. Over randolph because brand does a little more.... I don't think randolph is as good a defender as brand, and brand is as good offensively as randolph.

    Agreed. I love Carmelo. Dude is going to be a top 10 player in a few years, if not next year. However, it's just not his time this year. AK47? I'd take Melo over him personally, but I can at least see how Melo would be passed over for the tool (still bitter about AK47's constant whining about how the Nugs are dirty).

    That said, Miller is my favorite player in the league, and has been for years. I thought there was no way in hell he would come to Denver, that he would go to Utah. When he signed, I celebrated big time. He got out of the gate slow (understandable when you have 8 new players), but is now unstoppable. I know this is a Rockets board, so I'll probably get flamed for this, but Francis making the all-star game is probably the biggest load of crap about the game. Ray Allen wasn't that great of a pick, but at least he's dominated. Besides, SG's aren't exactly lighting it up right now. The West PG race is TIGHT, and Francis is, at best, the 5th best PG in the conference.

    I don't understand your Yao bashing though (and I use the term bashing loosely, don't worry, I'm not calling you a Yao basher -- can you tell I've read the RAGM forum?). Granted, he's not putting up great numbers, but he's still, at worst, the third best center in the west this season (Shaq, obviously, is first, and B. Miller has put up some pretty damn good #'s himself). I probably would take Yao over Brand for the ASG personally. Tough call though.

    But yeah, I'm very bitter about Andre Miller not making the All-Star game. I was gonna get a Miller all-star jersey. Dammit.

    LeBron is really good, but his numbers don't really make him automatic.

    Billups is having a good season and he's been playing high level ball for several seasons now but he's a borderline star, too streaky.

    Rip... too many good players in his position.

    Odom... having monster season on the boards, but team sucks too much.

    Reef... has had even better statistically seasons, I'm talking 20-10 seaons in which he hasn't made it.

    Brand... long injury in the beginning.

    Boozer is a beast... I'd rather have him than Keyon Martin, who's ego is too big for me. but cleveland is struggling, so that hurts him.

    randolph... 20-10 is tough in today's nba... but he's still only building his reputation, but c'mon he's trying to make it as a power forward in the west? hahahaha....

    bibby... i think i started a thread earlier about how i don't think he's an all star.

    i guess i would have liked to see nash... he numbers are down because he's trying to make everyone happy. such an unselfish player. i should add him to the "who would you be happy to have for francis thread over in the GARM"

    andre miller was awesome in cleveland... the think that strikes me about him is how strong he is. people think marbury is strong for a pg... but miller is a beast driving in the lane.

    my question to you is this though... what happened to the 11 assists per game seasons? i don't get to watch that many clippers or nuggets games. i would have thought he'd get more assists than when in cleveland.

    also... is Skita still in your 2006 championship team?

    lebron
    anthony
    randolph
    and maybe brand but he has been injured alot this year. but he is having a great year.

    i think anthony should be an al star, because his team has played great. so i think he deserved it most.
