Don't you see There was NEVER a situation in which we were gonna play Ennis . We traded him purely for his own good and that pick swap . LT Savings had nothing to do with it . The trade deadline had NOTHING to do with getting under the LT . I would say it's time for Gary Clark to step up. But, we all know MDA will just play 8 guys and call it a game .
The #1 argument for Shumpert is that he excels at fighting through screens to catch shooters like Steph and Klay. So, by Murphy's Law, it's perfect that we won't get a chance to test that in the regular season. Also, we're now at the point where each loss has a major impact on our playoff position and whether we even make it to the WCF.
I totally forgot for a minute Shumpert was on the team and just remembered last night when I saw the Capela news about playing Thursday. I was pretty excited to see a full roster (well I mean there is still the House issue) but then to hear about this is definitely a total bummer. The ONLY reason though I see this happening though because he played perfectly fine prior to the ASG I can't see how time off caused him to get a sore knee. The Rockets do need to sign someone to a 10-day by end of day tomorrow per league rules of players on a roster. I think they maybe wanted to sign a guy and that maybe plays the same positions as Shumpert and give him a shot to see what he can do during the 10 day. It still doesnt make sense for Shumpert to not go on the road trip unless there is something personal going on and this is the best way to have it excused and not really discussed in the media.
This has to be a lie by the Rockets, in order for a 10-day to sign. Morey can't get anyone to sign, because they know they won't play, as he only wants their manditory contract....so, invent an injury.
And suddenly everybody loves Ennis lol. You guys convinced me to hate him, so stop being mad about giving him away for nothing.
Ennis is not very good, but at least he's a body and a 6'8" one at that. Now what are we left with? Gary Clark? Some 10-day scrub?
exactly. pointed that out in the trade thread from the beginning. the same guy the board absolutely killed while he was here. the same guy that got hurt and missed multiple weeks. there always has to be something. that's just the common theme is shumpert out for the season or is it 2 games. judging by some of these comments its pretty hard to tell
So far only 2 games, but who the hell knows with this team and its medical staff? I wouldn't be surprised if the Rockets held him out for 3 games since the next one after the road trip is home against Atlanta.
