What about Iverson ? I think he's better then Sheed.

although it's next to impossible to compare guards and posts, i'd still say sheed - TALENT WISE - is better than AI.

rasheed can post, has a deadly go to move (turnaround), a nice hook, mid range jumper, 3 point range, and is a decent defender.

show me the other players that can do that.

    my 2 cents....

Rasheed for some reason continues to be underrated simply because he doesn't score the big points.

imo, Rasheed Wallace has the best turnaround jumper in the game. Don't even talk about people shorter than him. What makes a turnaround jumper great is it must be unblockable, which is helped a great deal by how tall you are. Once you have an unblockable turnaround jumper, you can fake it for up-and-unders, spins and all the other assortments that Wallace has. But it is the turnaround J that makes that all possible.

Anyone who has the best turnaround jumper in the game has an unblockable shot. Those players are so, so, so valuable in 4th quarters. Rasheed is top five 4th quarter studs against playoff-intensity defenses. The only reason I would bother putting Duncan and Garnett ahead of him is because they are so superior on defense, especially Garnett.

    Antoine Walker?????

you got me on that one. that's a tough one. if we're going strictly on talent, without regard to ballhog tendencies (kobe) or temper tantrum throwers (rasheed), i'd have to put kobe in that top list, as well.

It's not how big your talent is, it's how you use it.

definetely 'Sheed. I would trade back Cato, #18 and #22 picks or some combo. IF Webber comes great, but lets hope DREAM comes back for the $4-5 mil exception

Sheed isn't a bad defender either...when he can stay in the game.

    *ahem*

Note the use of the word "overall" in my original post.

And yes, McDyess and Walker ARE better overall than Rasheed.

Everyone talks about Rasheed having more talent... what the hell is talent? He's a 20-10 guy.. yay. So is McDyess, minus all the technical foul BS. So is Walker, minus some of the technical foul BS and with more assists.

I would still take either of them for my team instead of Rash-'towel throwing volcano'-eed.

I disagree, you cannot judge a player's talent merely on statistics.

Wallace has better range on his jumper than Dice and is a better defender. He also has a superior go-to move. I will give McDyess the edge in pure leaping ability and rebounding, but I also feel Wallace is more agile for his size.

And don't get me started about Walker. He shot more three pointers this season than Steve Francis or Cuttino Mobley. Or Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley COMBINED

    fadeaway,

I can tell you right now; you'd be very hard-pressed to find a Celtic fan that would want Walker over Wallace.

Why HP? If there's anyone in the NBA more detrimental to the team spirit than Walker, it's Rasheed.

You guys are forgetting the "Clutch" aspect of these players. Sheed is clutch most of the rest on that list are not. Not saying this makes Wallace better than anyone else on the list but it should account for something.

Celtics fans plain and simple think he sucks, is soft, gives up more points that he scores, shoots too many 3s, and just wants the paycheck. They liked Reggie Lewis much more.
