You and my grandfather would get along great. His idea of relationship advice was to always break up with a girl right before any gift giving holidays. Then pick them back up after the holiday was over.

Maybe I'm weird, but red roses from some dude that I haven't known all that long is kinda over the top. White and/or yellow have certain things that they communicate - but go with pink or purple and you are safe, original and not a sketch ball.
Any guy who goes in that place is the one getting stuffed. Oh and don't get her a bunch of candy you don't want her getting fat on ya in the first month...
masraff's is awesome! if you have the money to do so....buy the wine and dinner package...they bring out samples of everything the chef cooks, with different wines to taste with each meal they bring out. it's ridiculous. but make sure you call a cab or something...that's a LOT of wine!
i've done it once and she went ga-ga. the thing is if you are in a relationship, she knows you know about V-day coming up. you're not gonna forget b/c every television and radio station is gonna remind you of it. it's not like her birthday where only her friends and family knows. and if she gets all upset and b****es about it or even breaks up with you over it, she's not worth being with anyways. it shows she's way too materialistic and thinks too highly of what society thinks. the girl i did this to was pretty disappointed. i just told her that it was just another lame holiday to get people to spend ridiculous amounts of money. the following night, i took her out to dinner and of course roses (for a quarter of the price they were chargin on v-day). When we saw each other i just said, "I don't need no stinkin' holiday to show you how much i care!" and all was forgiven.
I spent 60 dollars on roses for my girlfriend, I can use that money to stay in a strip club all night.
im with manny im glad i just got rid of the girl i was seeing saves money. but i still miss that booty she has though.
Valentines day is nothing but a money making scheme. Just like Mothers and Fathers day... If you love em, then you dont need a special day to treat them nicely. I would personally just take her out to dinner...
Exactly. I'm going to take the future Mrs. RM95 out to a nice dinner, but she already knows and understands that she's not getting anything other than flowers on that day.
