FYI: Feigen also says rockets have not budged in their offer and have no intention of doing so, nor of converting him before the end of the year which will play into the scenario I discussed
not helpful for either party. I really wish the rockets would---house provided on court results and the team looked very cohesive with him. Les was a cheapass too but i believe he would have signed house
Strategic negotiating through the media. They will sign him. He replicated a lot of what Trevor Ariza did for them.
After shooting to the #1 seed in the LT Savings competition, the Rockets are now aiming to also finish #1 in the Petty Contract Negotiations championship. These guys are all about wins.
Now we are waiting house to decide sign 3 years contract or not. Otherwise, he can go to other team next season.
Seems like Harden said he wanted House on the team. I hope the Rockets are talking to him about this behind the scenes. Last thing they need to do is upset Harden so he wants to leave like superstars on other teams. If Harden wants House, the least they can do is figure out how to sign the guy.
Imagine knowing you'll get owned by Morey and still choosing to play stupid games. No problem with that. You can find replacements form one but not the other.
if they can't get Harden superstars he may understand that. But if they can't get atleast a gleague guy that he wants... yo that's a big concern
Why? IF we sign MM there is going to be a serious minutes crunch already. He is a luxury in that case.
Mr Sizzle is frustrated that we’ve imposed an artificial cap on ourselves, which limits the assets we can use to improve our team (picks, MLE) and is part of the reason we haven’t called out House, a great rotation piece.
It's easy to look good when you're playing alongside the best player on the planet. Not so easy with a bunch of nobodies that no one focuses on.
.............and???? 1) Depth has been a major issue all season. I'll gladly take the minutes crunch if it means injury insurance and increased talent level on the team 2) You could very easily argue that House would be more valuable than Austin Rivers or Iman Shumpert on team. Rockets were playing some of their best basketball with House starting at SF. I get the arguments against signing him, but after the embarrassing trade deadline, I'm just tired of hearing how we're trying to be as competitive as we can be when we're clearly not trying to maximize this year's roster. If House is so replaceable...then just convert him.
The thing that makes House such a difficult situation is that we don't really KNOW what he is. The Rockets want to hedge here. If you convert him and he's really good you'll lose him most likely, but if you give him what he wants you go over the tax and he might not actually be that good.
