He won the WHITE working class vote. They vote based on identy politics rather than economic rhetoric or else they would be flocking to candidates like Warren and Bernie.

That is pretty funny. Yeah daddy did give Trump his wealth. Huge thing I don't respect about him is his touting of being self made.

I support Trump the meme. But I am not committed to vote for him. I also think some good things about him. I am actually wanting a moderate Dem but alas they keep pushing them aside for aoc types lately. I may support him if they don't run a moderate dem. If they run an actual moderate dem we will see. I thought it might be fun to talk about his recent poll though. Also the GEOTUS is too grand. I can't not use it with this. The timing is hilarious.

You keep on saying "They" for some reason. You do realize there is a primary election right? The voters in states like SC & Iowa actually have a say so in how the field gets narrowed down. There's not a board room in NY with George Soros, Bezos, and Satan himself hand picking the Dem candidate. If a moderate wins the primaries, they'll have had broad support for the electorate.

If YOU (Dach) prefer a moderate Dem candidate and the majority of the electorate prefers someone with a more bold progressive agenda that just means YOU are an outlier... not that there is anything wrong with the electorate. In 2008 "The Electorate" chose a one term African American Senator who was labeled socialist, and had a Muslim sounding name because the "Electorate" thought he was the best candidate. The Electorate obviously made the right choice because he won twice.

And lets be honest here for just one freaking minute please..... You and I know you are NOT voting for any Democrat ever. Lets cut the bullsh$t please? As long as Trump provides you this ability to try and troll people like me on the internet to get your kicks, you'll love him for it.

I would vote for Tulsi G. in a heart beat.

They also rigged a primary for Clinton. The DNC.

No one is a trump supporter. Especially all those that defend him on every discussion thread are not trump supporters.

Gabbard supports these issues as part of her core campaign policy pledge as POTUS candidacy-

    -Climate Change/Environmental issues
    -Gun control reform
    -Universal Healthcare
    -Anti-corruption

All great issues I agree with. However... that's nearly all of the Dem candidates in a nutshell. Yes, some of them have different ways to skin a cat, but they all want the same thing.

You say you'll vote for Gabbard because why then???... You'll vote for her but because Robert O'Rourke is nicknamed Beto you won't vote for him? She claims to be Native American??.... But her emails??

Or maybe.... just maybe you SAY you'd vote for Gabbard because you know damn well she'd never make it out of the South Carolina primary so she's a safe place for you to try and garnish some sort of credibility as a bipartisan voice... which we damn well know you are not.

If its about policy issues, there's virtually no reason why you would support Gabbard but not support another Dem when its a Dem vs Trump/GOP policy. Maybe your voting just has nothing at all to do with policy at all then.

Not true. I don't have to support her because I agree with her 100 percent. I like her moderate stance in relationship to other dems. Esp her non interventionlist stance. You cherry pick things to try to make her sound like the others but that is false.

Why don't you just admit you don't know all that much about Tulsi Gabbard and her positions. You just like saying "moderate Democrat" and have heard a few things suggesting she is one. I will admit I don't know much about here other than she was a vet, she is attractive, she is from Hawaii, and for some reason lots of people are mad at her because she said Assad isn't an enemy of the U.S.

But... perhaps this article explains why you think you like her?

Why Conservative Media and the Far Right Love Tulsi Gabbard for President

At what point did making fun of poor people generally become acceptable, when almost everything else is offensive?

This isn't directed at you DD, but just in general, there are tons of posts seemingly insulting people about living in trailer parks etc. that are completely accepted here by folks who do not condone mocking people on other grounds including usually economic ones.

I get there may be a "redneck" connotation behind some of the comments, but is that really more acceptable?

I think our society is already a little too sensitive and looking for reasons to be offended, so I'm not offended by the use of trailer park, but I am a little confused why it is still acceptable when so many other things are not.

Universal Healthcare as a policy position is viewed as EXTREME with every other candidate that you want to label extreme, but for some reason Gabbard gets a pass, and gets labeled Moderate???... That's insane.

That's not cherry picking man. That's like saying James Harden is just the point guard, and just as important as Gary Clark & Hartenstein. Universal Healthcare is the headliner. That's why I mentioned it. Climate Change... .another headliner. Given the fact that Science has become a partisan issue now for some stupid reason.

And "Non-interventionalist" is exactly what Republicans harped on Democrats for years on, and called leaders like Obama weak for having the exact same positions. Trump is virtually the only Republican who has ever run on pulling out of wars, but now we know its complete BS. When you hire John Bolton as your NSA, that tells you all you need to know about being "non-interventionalist".

Sorry man but you have done zero convincing that your hot take approval for Gabbard but disapproval for anyone else you want to disapprove of at any given time over minor differences while posting pictures of Trump as a golden god.... is anything more than a charade to claim false independence in a political stance.

It wasn't a golden god... it was a God Emperor. Get it right.

Also I would post a wicked Tulsi pic but they don't exist yet. Just a bunch of her surfing and wearing lays.

Oh and she is a surfer. Dems love beto cause he boards, so that should be a plus right? Maybe she can go to Whatburger too and turn Texas blue. Maybe she has a convenient nickname too we can trot out.

    Yup, this.

They did that because the Democratic party was in debt (or became indebted) during the Obama years, and HRC was seen as the big money-maker/fund-raiser to help them get out of that debt.

All of this is from Donna Brazil.

Now, the question ought to be: how and why did the Dems get so much in the red during the Obama years? Perhaps I'm derailing this thread, but somebody ought to be asking that question.
