I doubt it... 1) It doesn't work in real GM because of Steve's BYC designation. The Rockets would probably have to throw in Mobley or a bench player for that trade to work...

sounds good. I like this trade. Tim thomas can play 3 or 4, and he can shoot from the outside. He can be like scott padgett with more physical skill. Then, cato can be moved back to the bench. TJ ford would be great for this team.
And you managed to pick up this Milwaukee station from Houston? Stations' call letters please. BTW --- Francis BYC @ $5m + $6.9M TE <=> Thomas + Ford @ ~$13.8M. TRADE REJECTED!
Just an FYI, we have the TE that can be matched with any player to equal salaries. Clearly it is easier to trade Francis in the summer but if you HAD to trade him now, this is where the TE can be combined with Francis' BYC to get fair value for him. TJ Ford & Thomas for Francis? How about TJ Ford, Thomas, Mason for Francis & Nachbar or Francis & Cato Not sure if TJ Ford and Thomas is enough for Francis to be honest. The Bucks need a center, let's say they wanted Francis+Cato for Ford+Thomas+Mason. Projected Rockets lineup Ford Mobley/Jackon Jackson/Mason/Thomas Taylor/Thomas Yao Obviously more tweaking would need to be done in the offseason. But we would get more athletic I think. The plus for Les is that while he loses the flash of Francis he gains the Flash of Mason and a home state guy in Ford.
wasn't tim thomas a former #1 pick? or was that joe smith? anyway, tim thomas was supposed to take the next step a few years ago and he never did... i'm not sure he's worth giving up Francis for.
Probably just something some guy on some Milwaukee station said he would like for their team...how does that even qualify as a rumor...it would suck.

Oh, that was me in that radio station, i forgot tell you guys that this trade only happened when i playing NBA2004 on my computer.
I'd do this in a heart-beat. But those who think we could get Michael Redd, T.J. Ford and Tim Thomas for Francis and, perhaps, Mobley are overvaluing our players. A fair trade is Francis for Tim Thomas, T.J. Ford, or Francis and Mobley for Michael Redd, T.J. Ford and Tim Thomas. This does not factor in CBA and cap considerations, however.
I dont want ANYTHING to do w/ a player that makes close to max money yet plays the perimter as a PF like Tim Thomas. He would be a tweener in our system, just like Jamison would. He would get abused by the PFs of the West. I would love TJ in here, but not for Francis. Never.
Throw in Kukoc and we'll talk about it until I tell you "Hey ya know what? This trade still sucks. Hey throw in Terry Porter and I'll do it. We need a good backup SG."
How does this trade make us better? Who scores if we ditch Francis? Captain Cream Puff Ming? Cuttino "Where's the Basket" Mobley?
