PJ Tucker is still a wing defender last I checked. Danuel House is also and will (eventually) rejoin that group. Plus your responding to a post that was made before we traded away Baldwin and Stauskas. With Baldwin being part of our "other wings" group. Catch up.
The guy really figured out his jumpshot, but holy lord was he terrible at switching. Out of position fouls 3-4 times a game. Looking forward to Shumpert and Daniel House.
They won't get House. It would probably put them into Lux. Tax.Thank you Mr. Golden Nugget Casino owner. I will nerve go to his Casino, or go to see the Rockets again.
I kept this part of your post because I want you to really think about it. If he’s not that good, why do we want him to be a key contributor?
He just didn't put on that in-your-face hyped up megalomaniac kind of facade like Tucker and Faried. Otherwise you'd all be saying differently.
Please tell me you’re joking? PJ has struggled offensively most of the year, but his defense is always on point. PJ does not miss assignments and routinely takes the toughest matchups. Ennis was sloppy to say the least on both ends.
He was a high energy guy but had problems fouling. He also got blown by alot. Sloppy is definitely the right word
It's one thing to play with energy, which he does. Props to him for bringing that every night. Unfortunately, dude has no concept of defensive fundamentals whatsoever and it drove me crazy every night at how he apparently has no grasp of how to closeout on a defender. He ends up just sprinting at one speed, everywhere he goes on the court and looks like a chicken with his head cut off, continually getting blown by, finding himself out of position, etc. Seemed like a good citizen though. Good luck to him in Philly, if he cracks the rotation.
Perhaps that's still wasn't low enough. I want to like Shump, but he's looking pretty terrible at both ends. So far in his first 3 games, he certainly has not played better than Ennis.
Shumpert looks kind of small out there. Why did people think he’s a better replacement for what Ariza brings than Ennis?
He's more disciplined. That's about it . Ennis also had a pretty bad tendency to get blown by ; but then again Ariza had trouble keeping guys in front last year too . We are sorely lacking a wing defender with plus size and above average lateral quickness . House has those attributes but for whatever reason he's not on the team . Clark had good instincts and size but is a bit slow laterally and can't shoot . Ennis had good size and could shoot but didn't have good technique. Gordon and rivers are two of our best perimeter defynit they are both on the small side .
I love how some people were giving Ennis this huge chance but wont give Shump more than 2 games lol. This group makes no sense sometimes lol.
