I agree...PJ is playing a career high 35.3 mpg at age 33...the 2nd most minutes he’s averaged in his career is 31 mpg all the way back in 15-16
I hope he goes to the warriors....theyll need all the help they can get to avoid being swept by wilt harden in wcf
I've said it all along that one or the two brothers would be here back when @Codman posted about the "Kansas City shuffle.." He isn't signed yet but expect a post like this in the near future when he signs. Lol.. I did say it would happen via trade but a buyout and joining the Rockets without having to give up anyone is even better.
So, what is the prognosis of his injury? Is he worth taking a chance on? I always liked his game and would seem to think he’d fit right in with the Rockets.
Wasn't Markieff upset about how the Rockets treated Marcus or am I remembering it wrong. Also, I think we have a good chance to sign Markieff because Harden and the twins workout together sometimes.
If he's healthy we need him in the worst way. There really isn't another power forward on our roster beyond PJ and PJ is only 6'5.
if i remember correctly, he wasn't getting adequate playing time alongside Parsons and the Rockets traded him to Phoenix so he can join Markieff, kinda like a favour. could be wrong though
Yes this seems to be the plan. Players have not signed in the past due to "not being healthy". Obviously Markieff not being healthy right now is legitimate but this will hopefully align perfectly with a 2/21 or soon after signing of Markieff. It just makes too much sense. He knows Harden really well. Tough nose player with a little bit of dog in him which will add to Shumpert, Tucker and Faried's toughness. In the playoffs you need players that are mentally tough as well as physically tough especially going against GSW Warriors. Sometimes toughness/grit/hustle can make up for lack of size. Also vets that get along well with Harden seem to hold themselves accountable as well as Harden accountable and aren't afraid to call him out from time to time.
