I didn’t say his defense was worse than his offense. So sorry if that’s how you took it. I was trying to notebook how his main value to the team is as a defensive versatile guy. He’s kind of where he was last year offensively. Maybe slightly less prolific. Have to check the stats. I think the problem with him offensively more than anything this year has been the volatility. He was a bit more consistent offensively last year. This year he’s had great stretches and crappy stretches. But defensively he’s still giving his all obviously but either because of circumstance (Clint our, CP3, worse defensive team generally) or whatever his defensive impact on Angkor in night out basis isn’t as strong
Watching Kelly Oubre swish threes last night made me jealous. Shoot, the Bridges kid as our three would be nice. I thought his defense on Harden was terrific.
Unless the owner sells the team there will be no full time tank in Washington. I hope everyone here can understand this finally.
Capela/Nene/Chriss for Beal Gordon for Ariza Route Chriss or Nene to a third team for nominal salary (like Sacramento) and add picks as necessary Gordon could also be routed to another team for a 1st and expirings Washington gets out of the luxury tax this year and gets pieces to retool We get two core rotation pieces for a playoff run
Well, they would be able to tank better without Beal and Ariza, Morris etc...that makes sense to me, then again, Washington never does what makes sense so...lol.
The Wizards are idiots if they arent having a fire sale at the deadline. You have one toxic contract on the books. Why not tank the season and get picks....It is time for a rebuild in Washington. The fans deserve it. And its the most logical thing to do. They remind me of those Rockets team of the past.... so happy being stuck with the 12-14th picks and losing in the first round year after year. Wizards need a damn clue...and get out from all this money committed for mediocrity while they can. Having said that, will love BEAL. But im sure we will end up with Either Ross or Bazemore.
Otto's contract is too big. Kent has a big 18M one, but he may be tradeable. Bullock or Prince would look really nice on the Rockets.
This is nothing like those Rockets teams. Morey collected assets but stayed competitive until a good deal came along. The Rockets didn't have a contract like Wall's to get in the way. I think for the Wizards now, they'll try to compete with what they have and wait until the offseason to try and rebuild. Moving pieces now, especially Beal, would hurt attendance.
Rockets should make a move for Beal if they can. Move EG and whatever other assets you can (i.e. draft picks, filler players). That being said, I still think the Rockets need some size down low and a 3&D SF. I guess we could be a buyout player. Deandre Jordan, Wes Matthews, Demarre Carroll, etc.
nah...there would be a massive bidding war for him, and the Rockets will strike out like they’ve been doing
We are talking about a franchise that handed a mega-max to John Wall (not that they knew he'd be out a year; it's still a bad contract), so the Wizards are already proven idiots. As such, it is difficult to predict what they will do at the trade deadline. Morey: "And four first rounders!" Grunfeld: "Uh, I don't knooooooooooooooow....." Morey: "You're an idiot!" Grunfeld: "Guilty as charged."
Do... i still cant fathom the fact that you give John Wall the mega deal 2 years before he was set to expire? There are real life GMs this stupid and anxious to spend money on things that arent even a sure thing?
