Yeah I'm very blah about that trade offer too. Ingrahm and Lonzo.... lets face it.... could be Evan Turner in 2 years. Lonzo especially who I think was a "what are they thinking" lottery pick IMO. Ingrahm will be a decent rotation 3/4 with his length but his 3 point shooting is a red flag since he's shot under 30% for two seasons already.

Regardless... these are not star players by any stretch. I doubt any of them make an all-star team.

I also think people are un-selling how valuable Capela is viewed around the league. If the Rockets can offer 4 first rounders, Capela, AND cap relief, I'm not entirely certain that their offer isn't comparable to this Lakers offer. Some GM's might prefer it honestly. GIve me the picks and cap relief over having to worry about paying Lonzo Ball almost 20 million the next two seasons when I don't even know if he's a starter in the NBA, and if he's even going to beat out E. Moore for the backup spot.

It's not like we can really offer anything. We blew our asset load on CP3. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but it is what it is. We have nothing to really offer outside of Capela/draft picks. We can't offer NO cap relief or young talent.

Forget this season, they wont go far in the future either unless KD decides to take a big discount to cement his coward legacy.

My prefered list of destinations for AD is:
    1.Houston/Milwaukee
    2.The other 20 teams
    3.Lakers

    4.Denver/ Toronto / Clippers / Spurs

    5.Boston

    6.GSW

Rich Paul and Lebron are 2 slithery snakes. Throw in Magic and Pelinka, you have a snake pit.

Yup that’s a win for the pelicans at least LA would have to be gutted from their youngs and picks.
I’m guessing LA would try to get some players that are bought out.

With AD and Lebron they would be good though and next season or the next they could get better so I don’t like that. Only positive is that Lebron is getting older. Would be bettter if they traded to LA until the off season that way they miss a chance this season and next season they would have to try to work things out.

Lakers have done nothing right for nearly a decade but are going to luck into LeBron and Anthony Davis within 6 months and probably make the Conference Finals

    Man...

Right, it won't get it done, but absolutely, Capela could be "as" valuable as any player in that LAL package.

It might sound crazy on its surface, but those Lakers guys are REPLACEABLE. There's 2 of those guys seemingly on every team. The Nuggets keep picking them up off the scrap heap. Because Kuzma and Ingram don't play defense, so they can't be described as 3&D. And both have suffered from 3 this year.

Meanwhile, as we have found out, there really isn't that many Capela's out there. Sure, he's not Embiid, but he's kind of similar to Gobert. Frankly, he played against the GSW last year better than Gobert ever has.

Jrue+Capela at least is something you can say, here's an identity we're going to to focus on to build forward. It will be defense and PnR, and put Mirotic at PF for spacing, then try to fill in with 3&D wings.

It's still not great, I'm just comparing it to the Lakers offer.

I wonder if people are overrating the desire to get out from Solomon Hill at this point.

They've wanted to do it forever... to try and get AD more help. Without AD, you're going to suck next year anyway... sure it'd be better to not have to pay him, but when folks are saying "and they take Hill, too... that makes it a no brainer!"... I mean, again, they're going to suck next year regardless of the trade... without their cap holds (only Mirotic is relevant as a player and a hold at $18 million... but they'll let him walk once AD is gone, imo.. or try and trade him now), before doing anything, they are at $89 million, so already meaningfully under the projected cap.

Again, getting rid of Hill is great, but he's got 1 more year left, not 3... he should consideration #3 in a return by a long shot, imo.

I don't know the Lakers' cap space situation for the summer. Assuming the offer is real, it would be AD, LeBron, Hart, and YMCA players.

Why exactly? Because they don't have the assets to trade for Davis cause they burned them to get Paul which is who Harden wanted? Or it's because Davis is not pushing to get traded here to play with him?

Well, they tanked for few years and that might be the only reason why they may get Davis soon...funny thing is that they did it against their will lol.

Just because Ingram and Lonzo are young it doesnt mean they are all that good.
Will Ingram and Lonzo ever in their life be as good as Gallo and Harris?
Let alone Hart and Kuzma who arent even that young.

And the Clippers have Shai who is much more of a young talent than anything the Lakers have.

You're right, I don't see them actually competing any time soon. It'll be the Knicks all over again when they gutted the team for Melo. I mean, AD and Lebron should do some damage but outside of those two it'll be scrubsville.

man LA is truly sending everybody except lebron to Pels, i wouldn't want beasley, rondo and Lance though, would prefer that Zubac kid and Josh Hart, anyway with AD in, Zubac wouldn't get more playing time. But man what a package, if i am Pels, i am doing it now.

Lakers 4 young core players total salary 16 million
    KCP + Rondo = 21
    Total 37 million
Davis + Solomon Hill 38 million
It works. Deal is dead if they resist on taking Hill.

If Morey wants to take Solomon Hill,
Capela + Gordon + Chris/3 picks for Davis and Hill

Starters: Davis, Harden, Paul, Tucker, Nene

Bench: Brondon Knight, Solomon Hill, Ennis, Green, buyout players

Here's my crazy trade for you... that works salary cap wise

Houston trades: Capela, Gordon, Tucker, Hartenstein, Knight, picks
Houston receives: AD, Mirotic, Andre Drummond

NOP trades: AD, Mirotic, Solomon Hill
NOP receives: Blake Griffin, PJ Tucker, Reggie Jackson, picks

    Detroit trades: Drummond, Griffin, Jackson
Detroit receives: Capela, Eric Gordon, Knight, Hill, Hartenstein, picks

It's not great for Detroit, but they suck, lol, so move on from some long-term contracts...
