exactly. worst case scenario you get a year of an MVP candidate who you can trade at next year's deadline if you get the sense he won't return under any circumstance.

Harden with AD on the pick and roll would destroy any team in the league, he compliments AD better than any player in the league, even better than Lebron. It’s just hard hearing that these guys want to win, sure they might want to win, but they only want to win on a big market team.

Our only hope is to draft a star (Hakeem), develop a solid player into a star thus creating loyalty because you gave them a chance (Harden), or attracting a star with another star (Harden attracting Paul and Dwight). Unfortunately all 3 of those have surprisingly been hard to accomplish.

I mean, these guys just aren’t highly interested in coming to the Rockets, and then teams don’t want our assets so we can’t even pull off an OKC and trade for these guys and try to convince them to stay

He’d be great with you guys. I’d actually be good with that.

I understood that one after the season we just had, so I wasn’t even mad when that happened tbh...it would’ve been a waste of everyone’s time

that season was just too disastrous

PG and Bulter are really not on the same level as Dwight and CP3 in their prime(PG is playing close to that level this season, but we need to see more), and all of them want to be in LA or NYC so I guess winning is not the first priority for stars nowadays. After we acquire CP3, we don't really have any assets to make a reasonable offer for an all star, besides star players know that we can't offer a max extension given the heavy luxury tax load we already have. I don't think we have any chance to get a 3rd star, Bulter was the closest we can get, but the Wolves asked too much.

Offer Kevin Martin, Lamb a 1st round pick. Maybe a little more. It worked for an MVP before, it will work again.

Imagine how great it will be if all of a sudden the Clippers traded for AD and then got Kawhi or Butler.

The little brother team that all the Lakers fans made fun of for decades goes and steals their star targets right in front of them while they are stuck with a geriatric Lebron and scrubs.

The "list" has been known for awhile by the Pelicans, as they asked for a list.

The "release" of it now was done by Paul to control the narrative.

There is also a belief that the Pelicans really would rather make a deal now, rather than later so that they can have resolution ASAP.

So unless Jerry West gets involved, there is a really good chance that Davis ends up in LA, like James wanted before he ever signed with the Lakers.

If Magic Johnson screws this up and doesn't offer enough for Davis, then he is incompetent.

Demps wants Davis dealt now...... Davis and his agent want it..... the Lakers want it to happen.

In the end, that disastrous season cost us the future. It was the wildest offseason ever, and every team lost except the defending champion GSW in that summer because KD was the only free agent deserving the money he got, most other FAs were severely overpaid. If we had KD, we probably have won two titles in a row, and KD would have a much better reputation. Now our window is really small, and we can only hope Morey somehow makes magical move to acquire a starter level wing player, and CP3 gets back to what he was last year.

I’m not saying that they’re on their level, just that they’ve been available and would’ve been great gets, but unfortunately, HOU is either not an option, or we’re a fringe option at best...like u said, they all want to go to LA or NYC...I thought the addition of CP3 could change things, but nah

Idk about star players knowing that we can’t offer a max extension...if that was the case, then Morey might as well stop trying to trade for a star right now because trading for 1 while not being able to pay them max money is pretty much a waste of time

if we truly have no shot at adding another star, then I believe that Harden’s prime will be wasted here

that would be Bron, AD, and a bunch of scrubs that can’t shoot

I would easily take this deal over Boston’s if Tatum wasn’t included

He won’t sign in Boston 4 team report is out.

Danny is going to be in a sticky situation if irving leaves.

I think Danny is about to make some big trades now.

    I probably wouldn't do it.

We already know Ball, Ingram, Kuzma basically can't win on their own. MAYBE in 5 years. The picks won't be good. Moving Solomon Hall migh tbe as valuable as the picks, lol.

I mean it's the best the LAL can do, probably... but if I'm the Pelicans I still prefer to wait to see if I can get Tatum or the #1 pick.
