I do too. Seems to lack confidence on the floor. This should help with that and get him lots of catch and shoot reps.
Why? Look at how they've played in the 3 games since his return. They had to come back from a double digit deficit at home to beat the Magic. They lost at home to a Pelicans team missing almost everyone not named Jrue Holiday. And they got demolished by a shorthanded Nuggets team. Then suddenly when CP3 sits, the Rockets destroy the Jazz in Salt Lake City on the 2nd night of a B2B. And it's not like we don't have a pretty large sample size from earlier in the season. The Rockets have honestly had only one good stretch with CP3 the entire year. That 5-game winning streak before he pulled his hammy in Miami(no rhyme intended). And let's look at the competition in those 5 games: POR, LAL, @MEM, UTA, WAS. Not exactly murderers row there. Especially when you consider that was before the Jazz really started playing well. I think there's a strong case to be made given the results up until this point that CP3 is hurting the team more than helping it. He is clearly nowhere close to the player he was a year ago.
Definite loss coming. Anderson’s gonna rain 10 threes and clutch fans is gonna go nuts tomorrow. But seriously juding by how we have lost to cavs, wizards, pelicans b-team, nets, pistons, magic, mavs twice. This seems like a game we lose. This team somehow beats all the good teams and gets waxed by the worst teams in the league.
If the Rockets play the way they have against bad teams so far this season, this will be a really close game that could go either way at the end (see, Knicks game).
Yea that's called no defense, with no effort. Thats the reason why...or at least a very good portion, other part is that we need better defenders. Look at the defense they played in Utah, actual defense. Also Nuggets were not short handed, dont believe that BS, those guys played better than their starters. We have a larger sample size last year with 65 wins and taking the Warriors to 7 games, in alot of games this season he has been banged up no matter what you want to say. First it was his elbow then it was his hamstring. Yea Harden had to play out his mind for us to beat alot of good teams but we also LOST to Orlando and ALMOST to the Knicks with only Harden...see how ridiculous this is. Its consistently been the defense in a lineup where Chris Paul has not consistently been in. There is no case to be made, its nonsense.
He's been pretty terrible. Last game against Denver he completely lost Craig(?) on a baseline cut and Craig was wide open underneath the rim for two whole seconds. He's supposed to be here for his defense so that was extremely frustrating to see.
After that Pelicans game.....there IS NO EASY GAME. Respect the opponent and get the win. Harden, get your 30.
Man, threw the kid into a bloodbath against the league's leading W/L record, on the road, at altitude after he hasn't played in...6 games or so? This suns game is the kind of game he needs to be involved in. Agree with @Deuce, respect the opponent even if it's the lowly Suns. That's the one and only key to victory. Take them seriously and whoop that ass.
Last year's sample size is meaningless. Chris Paul is not the same player. He's far more injury prone this season and even when he's been healthy, he's not as effective on either end of the floor.
That is simply not true, we are better defensively when he is on the floor, stats back that up. He was the same player in Denver, you have to give him more time. The injuries are a problem, but thats about it.
Harden is gonna die by the end of the season. This FO is not respecting him with all this, get the man some freaking help
As a Rocket fan, It is frustrating that our two biggest issues. Rebounding and defense are currently fixable with players that are under contract. House and Capela on this team would clear up so many problems.
