eFG% has nothing to do with FTs. It's to allow equalization between someone who shoots predominantly 3s and someone who mostly shoots inside the paint. In other words, it's better to have someone who hits 35% from 3...than someone that hits 50% from 2...so this statistic gives you a more accurate measure of FG%.

 

I don't know who else Codman is referring to as TB.

I, like @Codman, have been excited about the possibility of adding Jaylen Brown, so I watched the BOS/OKC game today and kept my eyes glued to him while he was in the game.

Offensively I think he's a great fit... He showed today that he has a pretty good quick trigger on 3s and can drive to the hole.

Defensively, I'm a little concerned... Granted, he was guarding Paul George most of the game, but I caught at least 4 times where he had bad footwork, and he seems to play a little too upright. He's not slow, but he's not quick either. I noticed him being hesitant on rotating a couple of times and he kind of had that rookie "indecisiveness" look where he didn't know what he should be doing.

He's a young guy, so I'm sure he can improve these things, but overall I was a little bummed out watching him today. I was hoping for an athletic defensive stopper, and he's not that. Maybe my expectations were unreasonable.

I just hope that we get a guy who is GREAT in the defensive switching scheme and he can hit 40% from beyond the arc. Is that too much to ask? It may be, but that's what I want!!!

 

I would love Marcus Smart on this team but Ainge is such a cheapskate that he probably wouldn't give up for less than two first rounders.

 

Only 3 days to deadline, can they make a f'ing trade already. Mavs acquired Porzingis in 45 minutes lol.

 

I dont know why everyone is so excited about A. GORDON. This guys is not going to do too much more than ENNIS. He was a project Orlando invested in and thus far he has not lived up to his expectation.
-Stills shoots below 36% from 3, and will never be a knock down shooter like Ariza (at times) was.
-Doesnt really create much on his own
-Turns it over almost 15% of all possessions
-Defensive rebounding has taken a hit despite playing exclusively at the four

How can we expect this guy to somehow be the savior?

I have no faith in this guy... still another poor man's T. Ariza whondoesnt really do much more than ENNIS.

Please dont give up 1st round picks for this guy
