In an era where superstars have changed teams over and over and tried to work themselves to the best markets while tearing down teams and working to constantly be the center of a super team, James Harden (some call him Jim) has never requested a trade. He didn't ask out of OKC, he just wanted a max deal. Since coming to Houston he has wanted to win while being paid and being the best damn player in the universe. No, he hasn't won a title, but he's been to two Western Conference Finals and took the unstoppable Golden State Dynasty to Game 7 with a lead.

When guys like Kyrie are burning down another organization by refusing to commit and preparing to jump to another new market, Lebron is trashing every organization he touches on the way out, Davis is killing the Pelicans TWO YEARS before he's a free agent, Kawhi is sitting out an entire season(!!!!)...

James Harden says "give me the extension and let's go to war." He's never had the help that Lebron has had, yet has never complained about it like Lebron has. While Anthony Davis struggles to take a capped out team to the playoffs and whines about it, Harden pulls up his big boy pants, puts a team full of Gleaguers and jabronis on his back and says get the hell out of my way and I'll carry you to the playoffs.

So here's to you James Edward Harden, Jr. You may not get the credit you deserve, but you are a man among men in your generation. Not only among the best of your generation but one of a handful not to be a total whining...I'll skip the last word for the sake of the kids.

    Salute!

just crazy. despite much of this loyalty so to speak compared to so many others, he seems to be the least liked true "superstar"

In an era where stars move around, Harden has been stedfast in his loyalty to the Houston Rockets. Improves every year. Does what it takes to win.

    Here here!

While I still think he's an a-hole for never giving me or @topfive an autograph at Blazer shootarounds, he's great to the city and fans of Houston. I will always appreciate that. To think, if the worst thing he did is bang a Kardashian, we are in good company in today's NBA.

It's stunning really. How Justin Termine doesn't have more love for Harden is beyond me. He recognizes that Lebron is a whining attention w**** with ZERO loyalty to any organization. He recognizes that Lebron's titles are all manufactured in a way that has never happened before. Why he doesn't respect that Harden has accomplished an awful lot without complaining and never having the type of supporting cast that Lebron has had just escapes me.

These guys should embrace Harden (like Westbrook.) If Harden were like the other stars of this generation he would be pitching an absolute fit to get out of Houston and go to NY or LA.

Yeah, Harden has embraced Houston. It helps that Houston will give him whatever he wants but as long as he gets his paycheck he doesn't complaint, works hard and gives it his best effort (unlike some other stars).

I hope he retires a Rocket.

Jim Harden is best boy, and I hope he gets rewarded by leading the Rockets to a 3rd NBA championship and his first.

It's toned down quite a bit but even with people on this board, I feel some people just dislike him. Talk about lack of gratitude, imagine being a Suns fan or something, always scraping the bottom, talking about draft prospects 30 games into the season.

i mean it had to take a rare stretch of ridiculous/historic play for that to happen after all this time. It shouldn't really be that way but for harden it unfortunately is.

Justin termine reminds me of the annoying nerd in school who just needed his ass beat one good time. Loud obnoxious clown, Him and Michael Rappaort are two peas in a pod

Harden has so many damn haters, even in htown.

as someone who enjoys underdog types, Harden is an easy guy to root for.

ain't had **** to start his life, his dad in prison, kept out of trouble and stayed headstrong all the way to break some records that the NBA greats have recorded, already a guaranteed HOFer.

all these haters focus on is the step-back, the fact that he gets to the foul line, and his usage rate.

how about the fact that he carrying basically a g-league team to the playoffs on his back?

put some damn respect on his name.

Here's a toast to something else that is often overlooked by many when speaking of James Edward Harden Jr:

Since he's became a Rocket, out of a possible 539 games in a Rockets uniform, Harden has played in a total of 514 games or 95.4%

I don't think there are many in the league, who we could consider to be his peer/equal, that has been this durable. Hell, even bench players might not even be this durable/consistent.
