If New Orleans don’t deal with Lakers, can someone tell me a better package than Siakam, OG, JV and picks?

I need to be able to sleep

I think i can tell you a lot of better packages than that, Vala is expiring, would probably bolt, OG for as intriguing as he is, he's not someone you can build around, Siakam is probably the best piece here, but like OG he's a role player, i don't really this package good enough to get Davis.

Siakam is not a role player. He’s super young, on the brink of being an all star and is locked up on a very generous contract next year.
You may be right that there are better packages but they’re not easy to name.

He's 24 so, not exactly super young. With that said yeah, he's good and cheap, but he has no star potential, come on now...and i just don't see how a package with him as the main piece is going to get it done for Davis tbh. I mean, Celtics, Lakers, Clippers, Nets, Knicks, Heat, Wizards, Sixers, Houston, Portland...i think all these teams can offer a better package than that. And i don't even consider teams like Atlanta, Phoenix, Orlando, cause even though they can make great offers, i don't see how they can be so dumb to trade their goods for Davis just to see him bolt in 12 months.

But that’s partly my point. Toronto is definitely willing to risk it even with he chance he would bolt. Hopefully you’re right. I’m just saying if they decide it’s best not to wait until the summer (which I think may be the way to go), a team like Toronto is willing to lay it all on the line.

Don't be surprised in a few days or weeks where there is a report of AD expanding his list of preferred trade destinations.

AD to Raptors would be unreal, makes more sense than either PHI or LAL.

Morey needs to forget AD as target and go get WCS and a 6-9 3-D guy instead.

Willie Cauley-stein would be unbelievable in HOU system and much more affordable and under radar target while everyone is clamoring about the Brow.

    Bait and switch it Morey!!

I have no doubt they're willing to risk, they already did with Kawhi so, why not do it again with Davis, i just don't see that package being good enough, Siakam and OG are not better than a mix of:

    - Kuzma, Ingram, Ball, Hart
    - Tatum, Brown, picks
    - Porzingis, Knox, Ntilikina, lottery pick
    - Capela, Gordon (asset), picks
    - Nurkic, Collins, picks
    - Alexander, Harrell, Robinson
    - Simmons, Shamet, Smith, picks
    - LeVert, Jarrett Allen, Russell/Dinwiddie, Hollis-Jefferson
    - Beal, Porter, Brown, Bryant
    - Adebayo, Richardson, Winslow, picks

Philly should deal Embiid and take back Okafor and KW with AD.

Something centered around either Tatum or Simmons in the summertime.

The Sixers need to realize it is them or the Celtics. Whoever gets Davis is going to make it to the NBA finals for years to come. They have to pony up Simmons for Davis and burn bad contracts such as Fultz in the trade so they can sign another big name free agent, possibly Kyrie in the offseason.

It is funny how the process has gotten them here and they are content. The process was to rebuild for a chip. But they are content so...

    Crazy trade:

Houston sends 4 first round picks to New Orleans along with Brandon Knight's contract (I know I know lol)
Houston Sends Clint Capela to Sacramento
Houston sends future 2nd round picks Memphis and maybe some international player rights or something
    Houston sends Chriss to Memphis

Sacramento sends Willy Stein and 2 1sts to New Orleans (for Capela)

New Orleans sends Davis to Houston

    Net Haul:
New Orleans: 6 first rounds picks
Deadweight contract of Brandon Knight while they rebuild

    We could even include Hartenstein

Memphis sends to J Green to Houston

The more teams pay for Davis, the better.

Do you not think teaming AD and Embiid together can only take you so far?

You’re definitely not the first to suggest this but I don’t know, I get AD plays power forward and they are both extremely talented, but it just seems weird to me.

They are essentially trading Simmons for Davis and a big free agent signing in the offseason.

No I meant both of them on the floor together. I guess it can work. I just will always picture AD at center.

Maybe Embiid and Davis can take turns being injured.

The center thing: reminds me of Tim Duncan. It was okay to me when he and Robinson played together: someone had to be the "power forward".

After Robinson retired, they kept calling Tim the best power forward ever. I always agreed with JVG: he's a center. I thought they continued to call him a power forward because it would be easier to vote him in as a starter for the All Star game (Shaq was still playing, and Yao). And/or the competition as GOAT at the 4 was less..........historic, maybe? Karl Malone the 4. Shaq, Dream, Ewing, Russell, Mikan et al at the 5.

Anyway, carrying on. Anthony Davis trade etc etc.
