Morey is playing his hand with House. When trade deadline passes and buyouts are revealed if need be Morey will come back to House.

ok, well he still has our highest 3 point percentage, outside of daniel houses exagerated percentages. He has a higher 3 point percentage than anyone else including harden, so why hate on him? 37.7 is not bad at all....how do you get 8 out of 40 games?

I haven't seen these details anywhere so I apologize if I missed it, but what's House's status at the end of the season if we don't do anything and he just remains under a 2-way contract?

man if he signed the 3 year min he could have established himself already as a legit NBA player and even develop his game i felt he was on the brink of breaking out of the shell even more

Tillman spends more on upkeep on his 140 foot boat than it would cost for a contract for House.

house requested to be converted to a MINIMUM WAGE CONTRACT going back months now. there is no doubt that we now have the most pathetic front office in the nba

House will get a decent contract somewhere else. Im rooting for that guy due to the fact how bad the front office has handled his situation here and the narrative here has made him out to be the bad guy.

You're acting as if we have the chips here. PJ's being ran in the ground & currently doesn't have a backup. We NEED him more than he needs us right now

Yeah so he can leave after the season is done. If he plays well then leaves cuz the Rox cant afford him you would probably have a heart attack.

I dunno why people always pretend the team will close down after the season the Rox are a going concern we need to make moves not just now but for the next season as well. Giving House what he wants ensures he wont be here next season, but keeping him buried at least puts pressure on him to sign a 3 year deal or worse case you bring him back at the end and you are still in the same situation as you would be if you sign him for 1 year.

You sure about that? Faried can play pf now that Capela's coming back Green can play PF too lol what are you talking about.

House is making 35k max in the Gleague he could be making 1M a year and getting plane rides instead if bus rides pretty sure he needs 28x increase in salary more than the Rox need him.

faried isn't playing pf. we won't see capela and faried on the floor together at any time on the rockets

I don't think Faried can stretch the floor like the typical stretch 4. 99% of our offense is based on spacing. I just don't see this happening

    1) CP3 has looked like hot trash compared to the CP3 we all know from last season. if he was still producing at the same high level we've been accustomed to then i would agree to place more concern on next season. but right now it looks like he's just going to continue falling off the cliff and our best chance is probably this coming postseason. especially since our avenues for improving the roster going forward have largely been lost in this year's salary dump campaign.

    2) harden is having an epic season that may not come again. he could get hurt, tired, etc after this

    3) i won't have a heart attack don't worry

Rockets were 14-4 in last 18 games before House was "sent back down".

That's obviously not all on House. But it's at least noteworthy.

More than anything... especially when you factor in how losing Ariza - who was just an "average" NBA player - impacted the team, it's clear the Rockets REALLY REALLY REALLY need a legit SF with size than can play spot PF minutes, and be a 3&D guy.

This is why so many of us were on the Otto Porter Jr. bandwagon. He obviously won't continue putting up 23/6/2 on 58% three point shooting on 5 threes a game, as he had in his 4 games with Chicago... obviously there's a big luxury tax component here...

Rockets NEED a REAL SMALL FORWARD.

It is ridiculous really that we talk about adding House like he is some sort of all star impact player.

That said, the addition of House is more to make the puzzle pieces fit and the *whole is greater than the sum of the parts.*

The chemistry fit. And system fit for the team.

House's boxing out. Rebounding. Switching defense. 3pt shooting and gravity. RUNNING on the fast break for easy points. Athleticism. Height.

    Just all of those components.
