My mom actually taught both Hakeem and Clyde in the same class in Hakeem's first year at UH. She says they were some of the nicest, most polite guys you'd ever meet. She also notes that Hakeem, then Akeem, was super skinny and really bulked up over his first summer over here. It's small, but we've always treasured that little connection.
