Rockets should win in another ugly low scoring game. The Suns are playing for "next year" having already thrown in the towel and started to dismantle their team. Expect SF's struggles to increase...

We all know the Rockets are going to miss the playoffs. I just wish they'd go on a 19 or 20 game losing streak right now and put us out of our misery instead of waiting until the last week of the season...

I know three games shouldn't mean a lot, but my confidence in Yao being a consistent franchise player is diminishing. I wonder if he realizes our season basically boils down to his inconsistent play. Although I'm not even sure he's that inconsistent. He seems to be consistently bad against good defenders.

Yao has struggled against every big man who's challenged him. Dampier, Grant, Collins, Pollard, Divac, Ostertag, Wright, Nesterovic all have his number. He's shot horribly or struggled to get his shot off against every single one of these guys. He can't beat these guys one on one.

If he can't turn around and shoot a wide open jump shot, he's almost useless offensively. His recent "explosion" was against virtual nobodies and has beens. Yao's 20+ point games were against an obsolete Deke, Erving Johnson, DeClerq, and some nobody in Boston.

Let's see what he does against Jahidi White. I think he'll have another horrible game and the Rockets will lose.

Suns record the first ever shutout in the NBA...

    Phoenix 130
    Houston 0

After the game JVG is criticized as being too harsh for calling it "the first ever shutout in NBA history".

Rockets G Francis suspended one game for missed flight

    February 2, 2004
PHOENIX (Ticker) - Houston Rockets All-Star guard Steve Francis on Monday was suspended one game for missing the team's flight to Phoenix on Sunday night.

Francis will not be with the Rockets for Monday night's game against the Suns - his first missed game of the season.

Voted a starter for the Western Conference's squad in next week's NBA All-Star Game, Francis is Houston's leading scorer with 16.6 points per game and is averaging 5.9 assists and 5.6 rebounds over 46 contests.

The Rox either win big as they rally after a 3-game skid and not having SF... or they lose big time and the season's over.

Well, the Rockets did play without Steve(and with Moochie of all people starting in his place) last season against the Grizzlies and won handily. Yao, Cat, and Mo need to step up tonight. The real key is their defense. Even without Steve, they can still play smothering defense if they try.

I predict Wilks and Jackson will each get 10 pts and 5 assists, leading to a rash of stupid threads demanding we trade Francis and go with a platoon of Wilks and Jackson. Bank on it.

Funny you should mention that. I was just thinking that JVG should give Francis a choice. Either miss one regular season game or miss playing in the All Star Game. That would force Francis to either step up or show the world who he really is.

I predict that yao Ming will perform much better no matter Amare plays or not, but the main factor for the win is that bench players will step up big. If Mobley's stupideness can contained little bit, Rox will get a sure win.
No matter trade threads come out or not, things turning out crytal. Trade Francis and Mobley! This is the only solution for the organization to become healthy and championship contender. Also pack Mo with them. Some guys may insist that Mo is a contributing sixth man, but I see this guy has no passing skills and defense skills at all. Most of all, this guy just doesn't have a brain. It's gonna be only good to trade him from long term perspect.
