Hey Mojo. Who established the state of Israel?-- Sounds really anti-semetic. This forum is designed for people that do the bare minimum with respect to their homework. At this point, you're coming here talking to people that are more versed on topics than you are, its not an echo chamber. You're not teaching anyone anything. You're not spreading the gospel. Even worse, you're incredibly stubborn in the face of facts.

While this point may be accurate as far as the 1948 creation of the state of Israel goes, it is at least a debatable point whether the United Nations TODAY remains faithful to its charter as far as combatting anti-Semitism goes. See for example the recent UN Watch Report on anti-Semitism, whose Executive Summary reads:

"Antisemitism is a global scourge that requires a global response. With deadly attacks escalating worldwide over the past decade—from Kansas to Copenhagen, Mumbai to Toulouse—the United Nations has a unique role to play in combating hatred, incitement and violence against Jews.

"Anti-racism is the defining ideology of the United Nations and its human rights mechanisms. Yet all too often, as documented in this report’s comprehensive examination of the actions of key UN officials, agencies and experts over the past decade, it seems that the UN sees racism everywhere, and antisemitism nowhere."

Yea, I think most people with any knowledge of Israel know it was established by the United Nations following WWII.

That was 70 years ago. I don't have an opinion vis-a-vis the UN/Anti-semitism. I know I don't know much about it. However, citing the fact that the U.N. helped found the State of Israel 70 years ago isn't very probative of anything at this point.

It is not anti-Semitic to call out human rights violations by Israel.

Sorry, but Israel repeatedly accepting a two-state solution, are you really this naive? Do some research first. And just because Israel gave money does not make up for occupying land that is not theirs. Forget thousands of years ago, I don’t care who lived there. It’s about ripping people’s lives apart right now.

Israel is not some peaceful country trying to close a deal with terrorists here..yes both sides are at fault, but in the end it’s clear who’s abusing power to such a degree that people are oppressed and treated worse than second class citizens. Do you know the reality of statelessness? A Palestinian living in jerusalem with all the different types of ID? How a woman cannot go back to the place she calls home, because she moved to the US?

This story is incomplete as any analysis without the role of the US is clear biased. Ow and don’t even start with Clinton and Arafat, that propaganda hand shake tv moment had so much dirt and negative implications if Arafat had accepted that deal, it’s not even funny.

By the way, anti-semitism has very little to do with this. White Christians are probably more supportive of Israel than Jews are.

This. Evangelicals love Israel for their own selfish reasons.
