With no capella and cp3 he should get the green light.

The only thing that will bring his scoring down is better teammates, but then the Wins will skyrocket.

Exactly, if we finish within 3-5 games of Milwaukee, then they won’t be able to argue against this historic scoring

I am hoping the counter to that would be better teammates will help conserve more energy to be more efficient and possibly be a similar scorer with consistent averages rather than extreme highs. In the previous games, he’s been so exhausted at times by conserving energy launching multiple missed 3 pointers.

Didn’t read yet, but I’ve heard pretty much every talking head ask his question.

    1) It doesn’t matter. Resting Harden more isn’t an option because without him we are likely the worst team in the league. So the whole, “are you worried about him being fatigued for the playoffs?” question is one that doesn’t matter because without riding Harden like this, there are no playoffs to be fatigued in.

    2) Chris Paul is not a big time scorer. Sure he can explode for 30, but that’s not the norm. Nor does he take many FGA. His return shouldn’t impact this Harden run with regards to Harden’s stats. If anything he may make it easier to score (I predict Paul will fittingly give James his first assisted bucket his first game back). Not only can he set up James to score, BUT he can keep the defense more honest. You can’t leave CP open which means you can only play Harden 4 on 1 instead of the usual 5 on 1.

    3) The one huge way Paul can effect Harden’s stats is that Harden should be clocking less minutes overall. Instead of resting 2 minutes and then coming right back in after the team falls apart, CP should be able to hold the fort down and allow Harden more rest. Simply playing less will impact James’ scoring for sure.

    4) Who else is going to score? Seriously. If we drop 100 (low for us) in a night, how can Harden not get at least 30 of those points? I could see this 30 streak lasting into the playoffs honestly. Simply because no one else can put the ball in the hole.

    5) When Clint comes back (and we once again have that lob presence) AND we have CP3 PLUS whatever deadline trade Morey makes (Ego probably gone), I think Harden goes back to being more of a pass-first guy and comes down to earth, but the Rockets will win more games.

Prob why Stevie and co were crying and moaning last year when Iggy was out.

Their harden stopper is not Klay, it's both of them
