Well someone like Reggie Miller immediately comes to mind.

But when it comes to Harden, i dont think even AI or Franchise played with this level of unassistedness.

    You own yourself

i think its intended as positive,,, at least anytime I've heard mention of it...

it's like... he does it on his own without anybody setting him up kinda thing... like the opposite of Capela scoring... lol

It’s what makes all this scoring at this efficiency so impressive.

I really think Durant and MAYBE Curry are the only other 2 in the league that could attempt to even pull this kind of thing off.

Really a shame to hear from coaches and players to say just about anyone given this amount of shots could do this.

Getting off the shots IS the hard part. Not everyone can do it. Not this efficiently.

I'm surprised at you guys. You guys are forgetting the key fact to dispelling the selfish narratives by some of you and the media. James-the-Beard-Harden still posted higher assist average 8.3 this season better than steph Curry -- 5.6; Kyrie Irvin; LeBron James - - 7.1. If Harden's plays are selfish, what then do you call the plays of the media darlings I named above. If you don't love Harden, it's okay to say so, but don't pretend to love him and always find excuse to knock his game. Curry is the best shooter ever - - that's the media narratives, Curry plays team defense - - really; LeBron can't do any wrong; you dare put him below MJ -- you are blasphemous; Kyrie, the best handle ever, really. Give me a break on these bull-gives. Harden is great, yet with shortcomings - that only make him human but don't poo-poo him.

There's no reason to look at this stat as a negative, especially given Harden's penchant for AST totals.

If a player was averaging what Harden is averaging, but was also not getting any assists, then that player can definitely be considered a "ballhog" or "ball-dominant" or whatever. But Harden has the assists to back it up, even tho his surrounding teammates are garbage.

It can be spun either way. I’m not sure it really means anything beyond just another crazy statistic from this run he’s on. Clearly the media that’s biased against him paints it as a demonstration of selfish iso ball that’s ugly and game destroying. Anyone can do it if they wanted to. Assholes.

Alot of teams are playing low key zones so offenses make one pass to a big and play downhill like quarterback and strong run game.

When you throw to a big, you know his defender is the weakest link to avoid low key defenders who might be zoned up.

You'll see paty mills throw to a big, and then the use a ball screen to drive to the lane.

Yeah the next time Austin rivers pulls a defender away from Harden on a drive and kick will actually be the first time.

People are just mad that he’s a high end NBA offense by himself. If he had professional shooters as teammates he’d be doing all of this +11 assists a night too. Instead he’s got Ennis, Tucker, Gordon and Green doing their best to give the rims actual bruises.
