Before getting mad, please read my analysis below:

James Harden and Jeremy Lin (2011-2012) are/were generational talents. They are/were able to single-handedly carry their mediocre teams during their killer streaks. Currently, some analysts (myself included) are comparing James to Kobe Bryant. Why? Because they both are/were unstoppable scoring machines. James dropped 61 at MSG last night. Who else has dropped 61 at MSG? Kobe Bryant. The similarities are both incredible and eerie.

    The Bearded Mamba is born.

Flashback to February 12, 2012. Knicks vs. Lakers. Jeremy vs. Kobe. What happens? After downplaying Linsanity, the Lakers take a loss at MSG as Jeremy whirlwinds his way to 38 efficient points over the dazed and confused Lakers. Shooting 56% from the field and dishing out 7 assists, Jeremy sends Kobe and the Lakers back home with a fat L for dinner.

    The Yellow Mamba is born.

    Now consider this:
    • Both James and Jeremy are/were able to sell out entire arenas alone
    • Both James and Jeremy are/were receiving "MVP! MVP! MVP!" chants at the free throw line
    • Both James and Jeremy were featured in influential publications (James in GQ and Jeremy in Time)
James Harden. Jeremy Lin. Yin and Yang.

I refuse not to get mad. I'm mad. That's a goofy take, OP, with all due respect.

    Jeezus Christ.

U could say the linsanity was pretty hype, unknown asian dude having a good stretch of great games but that's about it b/c it didn't even net any MVP votes. At best it the NBA community will recognize it as Asian dude doing great stuff for once beside yao ming (sad, but true)

Comparing it to Harden going super saiyan, Linsanity is a joke

Harden is literally 1 v 9. He's basically outscoring the opposing team's scorer. Idk how u can compare this stretch of greatness to Linsanity.

A better comparison would b WB MVP stretch to Harden's stretch (b/c stats are being broken = historic), but even then it's still an insult to Harden, one is a glorified stat padder while Harden is scoring more than half his team's points while still trying to get people involved.

You're not an analyst. You're a guy that plays pickup basketball at the YMCA.

    Totally.

That’s why as Harden keeps smashing all these records the revised lists constantly read:

    1. Wilt
    2. Michael Jordan
    3. James Harden
    4. Jeremy Lin
    5. Kobe

I liked @paulftsk as a fellow clutchfan poster much more when he wasn't posting during the last year.
