My personal opinion is Harden wants guys that we already have on the roster.

A defensive rebounding center who can catch lobs and set a good pick up top and run pick and roll with. We’ve seen that with asik, Dwight and now Clint.

He’s asked for ball handling and playmaking. Ty Lawson and now cp3.

He actively pursued EG and Ryno so we know he wants shooters to space the floor.

I don’t think harden wants anyone who’s gonna come in and not cater to how he plays and wants equal spotlight. It’s why I do buy that Harden never really wanted Lebron here in the first place when all those rumors came out last season.

This issue is all those guys while perfect fits for how harden wants to play have been injured a lot this year.

We saw what they can do when healthy. 65 wins wcf finals up 3-2 on the best team off alltime until..... his ball handler playmaker went down.

We have enough talent it’s got to be on the court. This harden is better than last year and we were a hair away from the finals.

I’m assuming cp3 will get his act together and play elite when he gets back if not this team is not going anywhere I matter what moves we make.

It all rides on cp3 unfortunately.

Morey will get house and add another wing in sure of that.

We have the depth of everyone is healthy.

    Cp3/Rivers
    Harden/Gordon
    House/green/ennis
    Pj/fareid/Clark
    Clint/nene

That’s 12 guys that can all play in any given night and 8 guys I know exactly what they will bring every night with ennis/fareid/Clark/nene being wild card matchup guys who have all shown can change 1 game at any given time there just now consistent. In nenes case his inconsistency is his age.

Morey is trying to clear cap space for quality real NBA talent that will play real rotation minutes.
Tillman is not penny pinching, I think Daryl is correcting his own mistakes and trying to clear roster space and try to sign Danuel House Jr. and try to upgrade the Small Forward position.
Trade 34 yr old Carmelo for a roster spot for 28 yr Kenneth Faried
    Signed Gary Clark
Michael Carter Williams traded and cleared roster spot for Danuel House
Zhou Qi released for Austin Rivers

Brandon Knight, Marquese Chriss, James Ennis should be traded.

Nene might be needed for guidance more than his play
Isaiah Hartenstein is really young and promising

Slowly the roster is upgrading and Morey is creating depth

    PG Chris Paul, Austin Rivers
    SG James Harden, Eric Gordon
SF Danuel House Jr., Gerald Green
    PF P.J. Tucker, Gary Clark
C Clint Capela, Kenneth Faried, Nene, Isaiah Hartenstein

Small Forwards, Power Forwards, Rockets need length, 6'8 with excellent shooting, dribbling, creating, slashing, provide bench points, lateral quickness defense for switching
Tim Hardaway Jr. is a guy I really want
Terrence Ross, Jonathan Simmons can provide scoring, Simmons can really defend.

The idiot homers always come in with moronic extremes to try to deflect from any criticism. Why of course? No one was talking about superstars. They're talking about help, genius. If you think Harden's going to spend his prime playing around junk that Morey is trying to money-save and surround him with in this era, you're delusional.

Honestly, I give the CP3 contract a pass. It sucks, but I get it. You either sign him and risk it being a terrible contract, or you voluntarily take a huge step back in talent and voluntarily waste years of Harden's prime.

Now...we didn't know CP3 would look as bad as he has in Year 1, which obviously sucks, but I just get that there was no good options. Optically speaking...letting him walk after being a half of basketball away from a championship would have been a terrible look. You also have to factor in the likely handshake agreement they had that CP3 would be signed after he opted into his deal to facilitate the trade last year. It's easy to say we should have let him walk but it really would have been tough to do so after how good we were last season.

I'm not sure there was a right answer to what we'd do with CP3 this offseason.

I think there's a need for a vetting process for all these ridiculous posts that get started.

I think that some of the people that post here are not Rockets fans. Aren't we supposed to support our team? All the constant bashing and complaining gets tiresome.

Atlanta is making Taurean Prince available, he would be perfect for us. A younger Ariza.
