Aminu would be a great get imo. That would be my first choice if it’s on the table. @Codman Cannot begin to tell you how much I’m hoping these tough times for you end the best possible way. You’re such a good dude, an inspiration. All my best.
Rebounding is inherently helping defense, first off. Defensive effort and defensive capability are not the same things. You don't think he's going to be motivated to play defense on this team? It's like...the only thing he needs to do. As for capability; he's clearly capable physically. He'll end up getting a huge paycheck if he does anything. Color me not worried, and yeah...I still think it was a stupid post.
Dude, I’m relatively healthy and running 3 to 5 miles a day would not be easy for me, let alone for someone who’s been dealing with your shiznit. Anyway, keep the info coming. I’ll drop you a message as March approaches, if you’re still actually maybe possibly who knows gonna be in the area.
No question, much better than the other guys mentioned, it's just that i'm not getting my hopes up cause even though he's expiring, i just don't see the Blazers moving him in a Melo trade, especially cause that means making a rival better.
For the minimum contract off the buyout market I love this signing. Faried isn't a perfect fit by any means, but he gives us a lot of what we currently lack and takes away none of the things we excel at. It's not like our current center rotation (with Capela injury) is protecting the rim, playing good switch D, or shooting well. Faried can at least finish strongly at the rim, run in transition, grabs boards at an acceptable rate, and provide an alley oop target. No, he can't run the PnR like Capela can, but Harden and Ego will be perfectly capable of finding him for some backdoor baskets. A lot of us wish Montrezl Harrell was still here and this is the closest we're going to get on the buyout market. He's still young and active and at least takes some of the load off of Tucker at center.
@Codman, I think to Melo, "happy" means "old-school offense with no emphasis on defense." I'm putting in 5 couch-miles every damn day! No running shoes needed. Virtual hugs to you, brother. You're an inspiration, whether you realize it or not.
That's a long article about how Miami wants to shed Ellington's salary in any trade. But, that's what Morey wants to do with Melo. How much do we value Ellington if they intend to get them some tax relief. Sounds like quite an incoming tax hit on us, that Miami is trying to purge.
Guessing this would have to be a three team deal where the team gets Melo, we send Chriss contract somewhere and we get the player like Ellington. Meh. I wouldn’t turn Ellington down but his defense doesn’t fill any gaps for us lol
Melo, Nene and Hartenstein works for him in the ESPN trade machine. I didn't sub Chriss for Nene, because he has been such a disappointment here. I'm not in favor of giving up Nene. We still need him. Bring back House for a late second rounder after trading Melo. No need to go after Wayne, despite his good shooting.
Not having House in the lineup is a definite loss. Decent shooter, athletic and could create his own offense.
I hope this dude is ready to ball out. We need him and he needs us. We need guys that are ready to run through a wall for James Harden. Austin Rivers is looking like one of those guys. It would be insane If Morey has landed two of them already without giving anything up.
Oh yeah I’m definitely in favor of de-criminalizing weed as much as possible. We have far bigger issues than clogging a court docket on weed-related crimes
