Yep they won the game, but played pretty dumb ball at big stretches. Super happy for the win, but we won because lakers outdumbed us. Credit to our players and coaches for stepping up second half but to be honest and realistic we had no business winning.

 

Agreed but I wouldn’t give the coaches any credit for this one. The players gutted this one out.

 

Really he is preaching this to Stevenson and MCGee? LAMO.

 

U might be right, first half they were pure garbage. I guess my standard have been so lowered that when he recognizes we need rebounding and actually plays nene 20 minutes (even though nene hasn’t been great but that’s all we got), and the fact he didn’t play chriss, and playing ennis down the stretch, that’s w in for me

Well if you payed any attention, during stoppage MDA was instructing them to run and push it, if they missed the ft and we got the rebound.

MDA trusts harden in transition against a not set defense in a scurry, and well, I do too.

Great defense to make harden missed those two late FTs which would put him to 50pts

 

When you’re down, you have to take risks. He took a risk and it paid off. Get over it.

Your basketball knowledge while excellent, is not perfect for every situation. I hope you can find a way to drop the aggravation and enjoy this Dub.

 

I’m sure it’s been mentioned already but I assume Harden kept it at 48 points to talk **** to Luke Walton for claiming they had to keep him under 50 to win. JVG made a point of saying how selfless he was in not going for 50 but I think it was intentional.

 

i disagree he was poor all night. he made a key change after the half of putting tucker on kuzma and james on chandler. that is what sparked the comeback.

 

You GTFO clearly his airballed 3 gave us the extra possession we needed.

 

Also played nene 20 minutes which we needed last game, played ennis over green which was also right choice even though most people don’t like ennis. And didn’t play nunaley almost at all second half. Those were good decisions, had a couple of good timeouts also. But putting rivers in overtime on Ingram I didn’t understand, I was screaming for harden to guard him

 

Great to have Gordon back, but the defense is painfully leaky right now.

Any win is a great win at this point. We are clearly in survival mode until we can get the troops back for the second half.

Get Harden some rest and a healthy focused Rockets team is still at least number 2, seen nothing to change my mind.

 

Part of the problem is the massive downgrade from House to Nunnally, after his first game with the team Nunnally gave up an impressive 100% opponent FG%.....and I don't think he cut that down very much tonight....if at all. When you are forced to play worse and worse players due to injury and roster mismanagement these kinds of things will happen.

This almost makes up for the Nets game.

 

Who should he rely to then? Hint ("they got back into the game was because of the brilliance of Harden")
