NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO- OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Oh yeah, here's the link: http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/story.hts/sports/bk/bkn/890204 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! ------------------ women love me, fish fear me.
I can say this with absolute certainty - sports agents are ALL bastards! I have to admit, however, that Fegan is worse than most. ------------------ women love me, records make me poo
Maybe he will sell them as a package ------------------ "Repression never did me any harm (I finally ceased to include "stop masturbating" as one of my guilt ridden New Year's resolutions, but that's a different topic)." Achebe - programmer by day, Mrs Palmers Husband by night
You can bet on that. But this won't be the kind of package deal that you're thinking of. It's more like this kind of math (numbers are invented for sake of argument): Anderson = $2 mil / yr. Olajuwon = $4 mil / yr. Both Guys = $10 mil /yr. Fegan will leverage Hakeem's relationship with the Rockets to milk extra $$ for Shandon. Of course, that's assuming that Shandon wants to come back. He might be able to find employment elsewhere for the same money and more offensive involvement. Just my opinion. ------------------ women love me, records make me poo
I think that is a clear signal that Hakeem wants to go somewhere else or that, in any case, he will not accept a low salary like Barkley did. If that was the plan, I would think he would not have needed to hire an agent...too bad.
So; Dream has signed with the Anti-Christ. Ugh. What's the thinking here? Everyone has to look out for himself, I guess. But if I remember Anti-Christ's tactics with Utah involving Shandon Anderson, I can only hope that he won't screw things up for this team in the off-season. "Yeah, but can't Shandon hold out one more year? We've got Webber eating out of our hands!" "That's nice. Where's my---er, Shandon's money? Pay up!" With luck, we can dump Cato and Walt and free up cap space to help re-sign Dream. But if Fegan thinks Shandon deserves much more than Cuttino, time to sign-and-trade him to a team that agrees. ------------------
I could be completely wrong, but wasn't MJ's agent Fegen? God I hope I am wrong. Someone please tell me I am wrong. ------------------ "...Do you hear 'em? They're everywhere!!! AAAHHH!!!" That's what the other teams will be saying after being shellshocked by Steve Francis and Co.
Can someone enlighten me as to why Fegan is the anti-christ? The only thing I remember him doing is letting his client sign here for the exception instead of taking more money in Utah. Is this because he's talking up his client? Last I checked, that's what agents, whether you like them or not, are supposed to do. Is there something I'm missing? ------------------ www.swirve.com "Pre-born, you're fine, pre-school, you're f*****."-George Carlin
rm95, the big fear is that Dream's contract negotiations will go in the same direction that Shandon's do. I do not want the Rockets to overpay Shandon on his next contract. Since Fegan has now signed Dream, my obvious fear is that if the negotiations go bad w/ Shandon the same will be true for Dream. ------------------ women love me, fish fear me.
>> across110thstreet << Whew! Thanks. Someone, I think has already mentioned this, but by Dream signing an agent says a lot. It looks like Dream is seriously considering not retiring as a Rocket. ------------------ "...Do you hear 'em? They're everywhere!!! AAAHHH!!!" That's what the other teams will be saying after being shellshocked by Steve Francis and Co.
Looks like it. He certainly gave enough signs of watnting to go during the season...now it just remains to be seen if that was just posturing or he really means it. Interesting that the Miami option = quick championship possibility is not looking so hot anymore....
Let me go ahead and jump the gun on this one. Clutch posted from Doc Rocket that things are unsure about Shandon and Dream. By coincidence, they now share the same agent. I'M NOT SAYING THIS WILL HAPPEN, but, if we signed-and-traded Dream (with Shandon), can he sign for only two years or does he have to sign for at least three? ------------------
THIS COULD BE POSITIVE FOLX Hakeem + Shandon = Wizard's #1 + Hamilton +something else Rocket River ------------------
