Woj: Rockets intend to release James Nunnally if they can't find a deal for Melo

I hope it doesn't happen either. I'm guessing he will still be able to get that Euro deal, but yeah just feels pretty shitty.

So, if we waive Melo, we still pay for him and the luxury tax associated with his salary. But if we don't sign Nunally, no add'l tax. Then he should've just converted Clark's two-way into a one-year deal at the minimum and made Clark prove he was worth retaining as a RFA in the offseason. That's the risk you take when signing unproven guys to long term deals.

We gave him wide open looks to do what he does best, shoot three's. He proceeded to play awful defense while bricking all of those wide open 3's. When your significant reputation is that you are a '3 point shooter' and you proceed to brick wide open 3's on the big stage, he probably isn't getting another shot in the NBA after tonight.
