I hope it doesn't happen either. I'm guessing he will still be able to get that Euro deal, but yeah just feels pretty shitty.

Morey screwed this one up. Tilman should just take the luxury tax. Not right to cut Nunnally after he turned down offers in Europe.

Signing Melo was just as bad as MCW.

So, if we waive Melo, we still pay for him and the luxury tax associated with his salary. But if we don't sign Nunally, no add'l tax. So unless we are posturing, we will hold onto Melo in hopes of finding someone to give us luxury tax relief although it will cost us Nunally, right? Thanks by the way.

None, but if you waive him you lock in the cost. If you can trade him, you might improve your position.

Yeah, this is bugging me too. I hope if we don't/can't keep him that the Euro money is still available.

Then he should've just converted Clark's two-way into a one-year deal at the minimum and made Clark prove he was worth retaining as a RFA in the offseason. That's the risk you take when signing unproven guys to long term deals.

How this goes down will tell us a lot about ownership and the front office under new ownership.

Nunnally cost himself a shot at a roster spot tonight. Feel bad for him, but you can't miss that many wide open looks.

He signed a 10 day contract. He values the faintest chance at sticking with an NBA roster over Europe.

If we wanted the cash he would have said no to a 10 day deal wouldn't he???

Even if we cut him early, we gave him a shot to shine. I will have zero regrets. He was not cheated.

He is playing on ABC right now, he is on the national stage against one of the most popular teams. All eyes are on the game. If the Rockets have already chosen Faried over him then tonight was his night to show other team reps and experts that he is an NBA caliber player. We gave him that chance. If we cut him tomorrow, he can't feel robbed.

He took the risk, signed the 10 day contract, got plenty of time on a nationally televised game. We put him in position for him to do what he does best, shoot three's. We gave him wide open looks to do what he does best, shoot three's. He proceeded to play awful defense while bricking all of those wide open 3's. When your significant reputation is that you are a '3 point shooter' and you proceed to brick wide open 3's on the big stage, he probably isn't getting another shot in the NBA after tonight.

We fall for every head fake. The effort is threee but the execution on one on one defense is bad

Doesn't matter. The Rockets chose to sign him to the 10-day contract, and they should honor it. Especially considering he hauled ass to get to Houston in time to be part of the rotation Wednesday night.
